I having been making sourdough and the shape of it does not fit into my rectangular metal bread box. The bread looks awesome and deserves a display case that also keeps it fresh & the base can serve as a cutting board. This fits all my criteria/wishes for the batards I make. Upon receival, I was pleasantly surprised how shiny the dome was, thick enough, roomy enough, qualitied enough...more than enough. I love this cake dome!!!! The sourdough batard stays fresh for days . So nice!

Pedestal is removable also. Looks great both ways. Love it. Keeps item fresh and dome is secure in groove. Also the non skid tabs on the bottom work well

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cake stand! Nice sturdy wood with acrylic lid. I do wish the lid was a little thicker material. Seems it may easily crack if not handled with care. Otherwise, it serves its purpose and gives a nice touch to a cake display.

This is a beautiful cake stand. It came well packaged (very nice presentation box, and foam and bubble wrapped inside). However, the metal plate/screws to connect the pedestal to the base were reversed — the plate with exposed tiny screws was connected to the pedestal. You had to unscrew the pestle from the metal attachment and then use a screwdriver to connect the metal attachment with tiny screws to the base and THEN attach the pedestal to the base — worked like a charm, but I can see how people would be confused on how to attach it. A set of instructions would be nice, but there were none; lost one star because of this. Also, the pedestal can be removed and the base can be used as a flat cake plate or charcuterie board as well. There’s a video review of this product where someone thought there are “finger holders” under the base, but they are really non-slip grips if it is used flat. The pedestal is also non-slip. Love that the cover is not glass — they get heavy and can chip. Overall, this is a great cake stand and looks beautiful.

Cake stand is nicely put together. Wasn’t expecting the non-slide fabric at the bottom of the base but it will help grip to what it’s sitting. It looks really nice as a center piece on our table. Lid is acrylic and looks very sturdy and almost like real glass. The base itself is multifunctional and nice looking. Would recommend.
