Precisely machined of brass, nickel-plated, and polished to a mirror finish , the Shubb Original Acoustic Guitar Capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary! The C1 is , suitable for most steel string guitars, whether acoustic or electric.

Great product! It looks slick and functions well. It is very smooth operation, and works well for someone who struggles with grip strength or arthritis. It mimics the way your fingers press on the strings with a proprietary material that allows you to put it half way between the frets, and avoid kinking or making the instrument lose tune.

Tiny in size, but seems to be extremely effective. It's not easy to apply at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's painless. Can't recommend the vendor though! I wrote them 3 times and they never responded!

Been using a spring type capo on my acoustic but saw good reviews of this on a forum so decided to try it. It is a lovely bit of kit. Well made, very small and very light. It has an adjustment knob to adjust the grip on the neck and when you put it on, a roller helps make it go on very smoothly. It grips all 6 strings well. There was nothing wrong with my other capo other than it gripped the neck very firmly and I wondered about long term damage. Really happy with this one and I think you will be too.

Much more preferable than spring-type caps. Faster than screw operated capos.

After going through a whole slew of capos my search was over when I found these. They don't require and gripping and squeezing and have a small footprint in my gig bag. I have a few of these now and I just leave one clipped on the headstock of my acoustic guitar. The tension adjustment is super simple and flexible and clipping it on the the guitar is a piece of cake. Some people I showed it to really enjoyed using it as just a fidget item haha.Highly recommended - it is probably the last capo I will ever buy.

I have too many capos. I go through acoustic cycles when I need them a lot and electric cycles when I don't. I have cheap ones, I have expensive ones. I bought this one during the latest heavy capo use cycles and using it well up the neck needing to get better hand clearance right at the capo. The generic cheap ones fail here complete as they are huge. The expensive G7th ones are better but still so "one size fits all" as to be troublesome. This thing allows you to place it very carefully to your liking and still get great sound. Its locking mechanism is solid but finicky until you get used to it. Overall I love it and I'm using it daily. It isn't perfect but pretty close. Definitely top shelf at a reasonable price. It far outshines some G7th ones which I far over paid for. BUY.

Good quality product. Works better than other capos due to adjustable design. It conforms to the neck of my acoustics and electric guitars perfectly.Well made, great fit and works great. You won’t be disappointed!

This capo is so slim. I can carry it in my pocket easily. Its super easy to set and use. It's radius shape makes for super clean - and proper pitch on the heavy E string, which we know is usually off due to normal trigger capo tension at the E string.

Facul de usar y super portátil. Lo más interesante es que, a diferencia de otros Capos, este te permite colocar muy a gusto los dedos

I bought this as the second of these exact Shubb capos that I have. I received the first as a present from a devoted user who felt I should have one. He was right. I use both on one guitar, each permanently set to a certain pressure. One is used from frets 1 to 5 (typically 3); the other for fret 6 and higher (typically 7th). These are the only capos I have ever had that allow me to tune the guitar with the capo on the 5th fret, and the guitar, incredibly, is still in tune when I remove it. In fact, tuning it with the capo in place has become my standard way of tuning. The rubber they use is perfect for the job and the curvature is simply perfect for my early 1980s Daion Legacy L-999 acoustic guitar. This is one of the very few things I have ever bought in my life that I am 100% happy with.On the Shubb website they provide information on fretboard curvatures and correct capos to choose for said fretboards

Sometimes you don't really know how bad something is until you use something better. My old capo was bulky, cheap looking, and most importantly - didn't have a way to customize the tension for my guitar.I was looking for an upgraded capo - one that was quality made, allowed customization of the tension, easy to use, and also - - small. The Shubb capo delivers on all fronts! This capo is very small and in a very good way. The capo is only 4 cm wide and doesn't have any unnecessary design to it. When you have it on your guitar it sort of blends in and doesn't distract from the look and feel of your guitar. All I did to initially set up was open the package, make sure my guitar was properly tuned, applied the capo to my guitar by clamping it on, then i adjusted the knob accordingly (with a tuner) to get the right tension. And that's it! I tested the capo on different frets and I was properly in tune to each one of them. It looks sturdy, and it's not going to move when I'm playing. If you are serious about playing and SOUNDING GOOD and in tune, I would just avoid using any capos that don't allow you to change the tension. You are always going to be slightly out of tune no matter what you do.And as I side note, it is awesome that Shubb sells capos in different colors / finishes. I was looking specifically for something black to match my Taylor 114ce ebony fretboard - so I went with the Capo Noir C1K. I love that the capo just sort of blends in with my guitar and looks like it belongs with my other equipment.
