About this item

  • MAXIMUM STOPPING POWER: Byrna’s Bad Guy Repellent, or BGR, contains both pepper and tear gas, making it one of the most powerful chemical agent defense products on the market.Attacks the central nervous system, impairs vision, restricts breathing, and causes the nose to fill with mucus and skin to feel like it’s on fire – quickly incapacitates attacker.
  • CONVENIENT CARRY CLIP: Equipped with an attachable clip, the repellent can be easily accessed and deployed from belts, backpacks, or purse straps for quick response.
  • PRECISION STREAM SPRAY: Designed for maximum stopping power, the stream spray pattern ensures precise targeting and minimal cross-contamination.
  • ATTACKER TRACKER UV DYE TECHNOLOGY: All BGR sprays also contain our Attacker Tracker UV dye, which even despite vigorous scrubbing, stains the assailants skin for up to 48 hours with a dye that only appears under UV lights, allowing police to identify suspects after the incident.
  • EASY TO USE: For the half ounce can, to use, rotate the activator switch to the right and push down. For the 2 ounce can, place your finger under the safety cap and push down on the button to activate the spray. I haven’t tested it yet and I don’t want to use with burglars but it helps me more confident in securing the safety of my family. The quality seems to durable. The size is bigger than the usual paper spray.

I got it ; I have used it on no one .. hopefully not “ but . Got to stay safe and out of harm’s way .. it’s also has tear gas mixed inside this can as well so . This is better then then a taser b/c. It has a distance where u Don’t have to be super close to the attacker. And they’re going to get pain in their eyes for an hr. Or so . This is highly recommended.

They seem fine, and I'm going to assume (based on other reviews) how far they'll spray, the reaction it will cause, etc... as I haven't sprayed them yet, and hope not to ever have to. However, what I can say is that they're tiny. So much so that with an adult hand, they're a bit awkward to handle. But what's more, is the "safety" on them isn't really all too much of one. The top push down sprayer part merely needs turned to the right, until it is over the area where it can be depressed... and this happens to easily that if you toss one of these in you pocket, then pull it back out later, it will likely be in fire mode. Since those top bits are so floppy, I went ahead and added a tiny bit of black hot glue to the underside of each one. VERY easy to power through with one's thumb, but it provides just enough adhesion to keep the things from just flopping around, and ending up in fire mode nearly all of the time. These are so small though, and shaped in such a way that the pseudo belt clip on them does entirely useless... and there really is zero way to carry these outside of tossing them in a bag, a pocket, or some other containment item. They have no keychain ability, the clip is basically fake... it's there, but so shallow, narrow, etc. that clipping it anywhere see's it just fall right off. Regardless though, I think the bit of retention via the glue should keep things safer, and I'll just have to dedicate a pocket to one of them at all times I guess.

I work private security, and twice now this product has come in handy and helped protect me. You never want to have to deploy a tool like this against someone, but if you do have to, you want a product like this. It shoots a powerful stream which is very easy to aim and doesn’t blow back on you like some of the spray pattern cans do. It also seems to take effect immediately, effectively deterring attackers and incapacitating them until police can arrive. The other good thing I noticed when I had to use this was that compared to a gel spray pattern spray, this took effect quicker and more effectively, but when police/EMT helped treat the attacker, this seemed much easier to wash off so that the person didn’t have to experience long-term discomfort like I’ve seen from other spray. The point of using something like this isn’t to make the person suffer, it’s to stop the threat. Overall great product. Hopefully I don’t ever have to use it again but it’s good to know if I ever have to that it will do its job and do it well.
