Quality Unlike Any Other

“I did 55 flights with my Bike Guard Curv in 1 year. It went to the US, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Japan, Bahamas, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Hawaii and a few more with no major damage. The wheels stayed on and the straps held everything perfectly together. My bike never got any damage at all, no bent wheels, no scratches, nothing at all. For me there is no better bike travel case out there: it is super light, it is strong and has an incredible life span."

I purchased this item as excited about a lightweight hard shell bike box. Unfortunately, my xl mtb did not fit even with derailleur off and air out of the shock. However, the biggest FAILURE with this product is the closure system. There is no groove that the top/bottom fit into like any suitcase, rather you need to flex the lip outside/inside around the two shells. It takes a while to do. You can see from my photos that the box does not seal closed. Water would get inside. You can see comments from other reviews that if TSA opened the box, it would never be closed properly, resulting in your bike being damaged. The second issue is with the seller, ACTION EMPORIUM. I returned the item through Amazon but ACTION EMPORIUM claimed the item was damaged and could not resell it. The seller refunded me $1.00 out of a $874 purchase !!! They do this to avoid being red flagged by Amazon as the automatic system shows "item refunded". You can see from the photos that I opened the box up on a hardwood floor with a carpet. Any claimed scuffs are from me trying to install an mtb bike frame. This denial demonstrate how vulnerable this product is. imagine what this bike box would look like after being handled by baggage crew thorough an airport. I opened the box, attempted to secure my mtb bike. All the parts and shipping material was enclosed. The product was opened but never used ! Like any retailer, returned items will not look brand new once they have been opened. PLEASE read other comments and you will notice that other buyers have had similar problems with ACTION EMPORIUM.Bottom line....do not purchase this product or use this seller.

This product arrived in broken packaging with some parts missing. I used it once to fly domestically and the box arrived in bad condition and was caved in. Miraculously, my bike was ok though. I reached out to the manufacturer twice for help, but they did not respond either time.

Prima fietskoffer voor een aanzienlijke lagere prijs.Snel verzonden, goed verpakt, prima afhandeling.Wieltjes moet men zelf monteren , goede handleiding erbij.Voor de prijs hadden er wel twee cijferslotjes bij mogen zitten om de twee stalen sluitclips af te sluiten.

My bike is a specialized 48cm model. The fork support it came with is too small for my bike.If other people open the case, I don't think they are able to put it back correctly.

Extremely difficult to close up buckles - TSA will probably give up before getting it correct. It may be a hard-sided case but it is much more flimsy/cheaply constructed than the competition at lower prices. If I did not have a bike in transit at this moment in the box I would return it. I would not recommend this product as there are much better ones available for much less money.

Ok, I'll start with the bad. Don't take it on a plane. The container opening and closing process is so over complicated no airport security employee will bother with it. On my first flight, the container arrived open, on its side, with the straps stuffed between the top and bottom half. It was like a bowl of bike that traveled 1500 miles in that exact condition. If you are lucky enough to be able to open it yourself for inspection, that would be the only way I would chance it. The interlacing edges have one side of the contain tucking in, then transitioning out at the join point and then back in, then back out all the way around the edge. An engineer must have been so proud, but this is a ridiculous closing mechanism that will break down quickly with much use. Next, the product shipped without all of the internal components displayed on the companies web site. Next, there is no internal stabilizing mechanism like a strap or clip to anchor the bike. There is a flimsy velcro pad that will come loose as soon as you stand it up. So you have to build up the contents so it presses against at least three sides. Next, it is build for a road bike. If you have a slack geometry mountain bike, it will not fit, you will have to remove the fork. Aside from all that, it is light and easy to move. But at this price, I was incredibly disappointed.

Best bike case ever! Super light and enough space to fit a road or a TT/Tri bike and all the gear you would like (bike shoes, helmet, floor pump, wetsuit, etc...). Also, its a hard case, so you bike will be safe. This is an airline and TSA proof!

This is lightest hard case you will find. Also has lots of space for a road or TT/Tri bike plus all the usual gear (helmet, shoes, floor pump, wetsuit, etc...). Closure system is simple and sturdy enough to survive airlines and TSA personnel. A great option if you're looking to ship your bike without worrying too much!

A super case offering great combination of strength, security, cool wheels and very light weight. The drawback is that closing the case and fastening the straps requires a bit of practice to get it just right--.i.e. the correct procedure is neither obvious nor intuitive. I haven't shipped my bike in it, as yet, and am really concerned about the TSA's ability to know how to get it back together after opening it for the required inspection. We'll have to see how it goes.
