The 010M filter will eliminate unwanted invisible UV light, so that ocean and high mountain region photos will not be blurred or have a blueish cast. The filter also has a MRC Nano coating to repel water and dust.

I'd only buy this for expensive lenses during outdoor use to prevent abrasive particles getting on the front element

Love B+W's higher end XS-Pro (now Master) filters, and have gotten a ton from Amazon in the past. However this latest order was missing proper exterior packaging including hologram for authenticity, so I would be wary of buying these from Amazon, especially if you get one without proper packaging.

It is very apparent that I was shipped a customer return. The seals on the box were opened, and the filter on the inside was cracked. This is completely unacceptable.

Packaging molto elegante e funzionale, il filtro all'interno della scatolina in cartone è contenuto in una custodia morbida. Il filtro scorre nella filettatura senza opporre resistenza, al momento non rilevo nelle immagini disturbi o riflessi dovuti a questa lente aggiuntiva. Indispensabile per me l'uso di una lente "protettiva" dato l'utilizzo delle ottiche in cantieri con presenza quindi di proiezioni di schegge di diversi materiali. Direi un ottimo prodotto in linea e coerente con il suo costo.

Someone pulled a fast one; I purchased this filter used on Amazon at a pretty good discount. Was stoked when it arrived earlier than expected. When I opened it up, I realized someone before me had switched the B+W filter for an Amazon Basics one. People, if you do this sort of thing, you suck and I hope Amazon tracks you down and cancels your account. This sort of thing makes the world a little bit worse.Otherwise, B+W filters are great; slim, light, quality filters that protect your valuable glass.
