I got this for my little dog who loves to ride in my lap. I know it’s not safe for him to do so, that’s why I bought this seat. It has metal braces you have to push down on the sides, that was hard to do. I broke two nails and bent one back trying to do so. But I finally got it done. Be careful because if you hold it down on the bottom of the brace it will pinch your fingers between the brace and seat. It’s tight! It was easy to install on the middle console of my truck. I think it’s worth the money I paid for it as it gives me peace of mind that my pup is secure. He can stand on the edge and see out the window. This is a very nice looking car seat. I like that it has the little strap to buckle your pup in if they have a harness. I currently do not have one for him, but I’m going to definitely get him one for the added security!

I LOVE this car seat! Fits perfectly between the front seats of our Journey. Easily attaches to console which was what I was looking for. Plus it can easily convert to a passenger car seat with the straps. My 8lb poo-chi has plenty of room to sit and lay down in it. Would highly recommend it!

A good price, well made, appears to be very safe. I needed something narrow enough for my console but wide enough to be comfortable for my 4lb dog. This was perfect. I put a donut bed down in it (since it would swallow her otherwise) so she can ride near the top and see out. She is perfectly safe and comfortable. I think it would accommodate a dog 2 times her size.

Must have a long enough center console/arm rest, so measure first. Our kitten loves it. Makes him feel safe, secure, and stable. Open air so he can see what is going on vs a cat carrier where he is stuck in a bag with odd visuals through the mesh holes. Not the best for walking bc it's big, but great for cat rides. Great buy!

I got this because my dog always wanted to jump up on the console and look around, but it seemed pretty unsafe if he just sat there with nothing around him! This carrier is really sturdy, and the strap attachments are surprisingly high quality and easy to use.It is the perfect size for my 12lb dog to sit in, though it is too short for him to lie down all of the way. He loves sitting in it and watching people on the sidewalk as we drive.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Cookie was comfortable and secure for his 5 hour ride. It is small enough to fit on the console of a Mazda and versatile in that it can be used on the console, low in a seat or up high if your dog likes to look out the window, it can be used as a carrier as well. I highly recommend this for small dogs.

I will preface that I've only had this two days and she's only ridden in it twice, but my 5 lb Yorkie does not hate it! She is still nervous and getting used to the car seat, but the fact that she has not tried to jump out at all and is whining very little is amazing. You can tell she loves being up high enough to see out the windows and is still close to me. I love the firm frame and the versatility with the straps. I found it fits better in my Honda CRV to put the straps around the middle console lid long ways instead of around the lid and the door closes great. With the seat straps attached the car seat is holding solid in place. I will say that I installed it backwards so that the security strap is at the back instead of the front. This way she can't jump out and try to get on my lap. Also, if I have to stop suddenly she won't be able to fly forward. It's working amazingly. Maybe a thought for the next model. If I had to say anything negative it might be that when the side straps are attached to either seats head rest you can't lay the seat back, but ee'll get used to it. So throw in a couple blankets and a harness on the dog and you are good to go! Worth every penny!
