I bought this some time back so that we could have our Bunn coffee pot churn out a lot of coffee when we had guests. Recently I noticed that the right plate (as facing toward the front of the unit) would boil the coffee if the pot got to half full. As an experiment, I used my laser thermometer to measure the temperature of each plate and compare it to the plate on the coffee pot itself.The coffee pot plate was the lowest temperature at 215 degrees. The left side of the double warmer was 265 degrees. The right side was an astonishing temperature of 325 degrees. That explains why the coffee boils. The coffee in each pot was 165 degrees, 180 degrees, and 205 degrees (and boiling).I have since quit using the right side until I can find information on how the temperature is controlled. Is it within the plate or is it within the wiring harness? I wish that they provided a temperature control to vary the temperature which you kept your coffee.

this burner keeps stuff hot. i use it at a church so it sees a lot of activity on Sunday, but also for other events.

One of the reviews gave it 3 stars because it wobbles. Mine does too but it's a minor nuisance. I'm not sure whether the four rubber feet are not flat or my table is not flat. Anyway, it works great. I use it on my nightstand with one burner for the coffee pot and one for my coffee cup. It keeps the coffee plenty hot, in fact the coffee in the coffee cup sometimes gets a little too hot, even for me, especially when it gets less than half full. No problem. I just set the cup down with one side of the cup on the raised edge of the burner and the other side resting on the middle of the burner, so it picks up less heat from the burner. Great for keeping your coffee hot and accessible while watching the morning news in bed. The bottom of the unit does not get nearly hot enough to affect the finish on my wooden chest of drawers. Will also use it for our large parties with a pot of regular and a pot of decaf on this while my BUNN coffeemaker is brewing more.

Our adult Sunday School class had outgrown our two pot Bunn coffee maker, and this double warmer with extra pots was the answer we needed! Much more economical than a second maker. Fast service, great product.

Bought this for my wife who insists on hot coffee at all times. A year ago I bought her a "warmer" for our coffee pot but it just never did the job. Personally I don't care if the coffee is hot, luke warm or in the pot and "nine days" old. Matey is not of the same disposition, and please god never let her microwave my coffee cup again. Serious burn issues result. She puts the pot on one burner and her cup on other and she is as happy as bunny. This is an excellent product and I highly recommend it. I will say that the other day she put my coffee cup on the burner and gave it to me by the handle and I took the cup cupped in my hand. Not a good idea. And now she's mad at me for spilling coffee on the rug.
