I really like this product. Personally, I would give it a five, but it does buzz a little when played open, so four stars. I got it for my nephew, who's two, but always wants to play his parents' instruments. He loves it, though he just plucks the open string. It was very easy to make, and I'm not Super handy.

Super fun kit! I play several instruments, including ukulele and mountain dulcimer. Since I was already familiar with the dulcimer style fretboard, I decided to get one. It took probably 30-40 minutes to assemble, and the instructions were easy to follow. Unfortunately I broke the first string almost immidiately. They send 2 stings, however, so I strung it back up and it was good for about a week. The second string broke so I stole heavier guitar string from my wife's backup strings, and installed that. Now it's held up quite nicely and it's a great little instrument. Lightweight, folksy sound, and always gets tons of reactions. If you want to learn a stringed instrument, but don't want to learn (or cant) chords, this is about as easy as they come! Fyi, since this has a metal string, you'll still have to develop calluses on your fingertip.

Bought this as a gift for my12yo son. He loves it! He and his guitar instructor have had a lot of fun with this unique piece. Instructions were easy to follow when putting together and it’s a nice conversation piece for our collection.

So i love this thing. It was easy enough to put together, and plays great. I wanted something for me to pick along to while singing with my girls, and this fits the bill. I stained my neck for a different look and love it. If you have always wanted to play an instrument, this is one I think almost anyone can play.

For my granddaughter, fun to build, hope she likes it. Little tricky to build but instructions are clear.
