Tips and Maintenance
- Any tool used for cutting will become dull if not maintained after use. Resin buildup on the scissors can cause oxidation and rust, reducing the life of the scissors.
- First wipe off the resin accumulated on the scissors, then apply a small amount of maintenance oil (motor oil or lubricant) to the scissors evenly with a cloth.

Shears broke cutting the base of a broccoli plant stock. Have owned less than a year. I purchased a pair for myself and a pair for my father-in-law based on the appearance of quality manufacturing. I guess I was wrong.

I purchased the Model E011 Wooden Handled Straight Tip Scissors and they have been through a lot of really tough weeds including nutsedge in the past week, not really what they were intended for, but they are still going strong. The wooden handles are not the most ergonomically well designed but they are stronger than the plastic ones Iβve seen on previous purchases. The lock is fine as long as you look to see that it is aligned properlyβ¦ not a big deal for me. Would purchase again.

Works really well for trimming Trader Joeβs or other store bought flowers before putting them in a vase. Much more convenient and better for the flowers than using regular scissors or a knife.

I used these almost exclusively on my vegetable and flower garden. No hard wood cutting done with them. They have absolutely beautiful wood handles that did not stain after 5 months of use. Unfortunately after those 5 months the spring inside broke. So they are basically useless now. Unfortunate because they were definitely my favorite shears. I have to admit that I am going to give it another try (bought another pair) because they are so beautiful and quite sharp. We'll see if this one holds up more than 5 months. I really do hope so.I unfortunately have to give it only 3 stars for the fact that they broke. If that wouldn't have been the case they definitely would get a 5+ stars.

It wasn't nearly as durable as I had hoped. I only used it occasionally, so there is no question of accumulated wear. It did work very well, then the blade just snapped.

I really liked the look of the picture when I bought these. Was hoping the quality would live up to it.A little disappointed when I received. Bought them 6 months ago. Started using them in the spring.They just broke. I do not feel I was hard on them. Disappointed
