These have smooth edges, are strong and well built. The installation is easy for any use case. The material used is durable and will last a long time. I was not sure these would work as well as the heavier cast iron clamps. I tested a few on an I-beam and I found that they grip very well. I am confident they will hold the shop lights forever. I recommend the beam clamps.

Good quality clamp with 1/4-20 threaded holes for either threaded rod, or accessory hardware. Haven't had any issues with clamps or the threading. Will be ordering more soon to finish a project.
