I have hitchhikers thumb so my thumb over extends backward making my point on pressure my second knuckle down. This has caused me so many odd issues over the years from video games to seat buckles, especially car seats. My thumb jut doesn’t work right to out the right pressure to open one. This has saved the day. I carry it in my truck at all times, it’s easy to use and has made a huge difference.

Interesting idea. I was hopeful that it might help my 3 year old unbuckle himself in the carseat. Unfortunately, it really doesn't offer enough of a change in applying pressure for him. Might work better for adults, but it didn't help my preschooler with is carseat buckle, which is why I got this.

This is a simple little tool that actually does help in getting the red button to depress for car seat buckles. Normally you have to have pretty good thumb strength to get it pressed down, but using this makes it a lot easier since you can just hold this in your hand and press down on it instead. You might want to put your other hand behind the thingy to help. This makes it a lot easier to depress than having to use your thumb, which ends up kinda sore after having to do this so much. I keep it around now to make unbuckling the carseat way less annoying.

This Buckle Release Tool is a lifesaver if you have long nails. I would always struggle to get my grandbaby out of her car seat (for a variety of reasons ha ha, I am old and out of practice!) so this has been so helpful. It's fairly inexpensive as well (under $10 at time of review)

I haven't quite used this for a the baby part but I tend to have nice length nails. At times they break and when I saw this, I was going through that struggle. When my nails are broken, its such a HUGE struggle to unbuckle the seat belt so when I saw this, it came just in time!!! This works pretty great! I am able to use this to unbuckle pretty easily without having to damage my nails even more than they already are. This is a great tool!

This little tool is the perfect gadget to help my toddler get himself unbuckled independently. We have tried several tools in the past including the popular Unbuckler, but it was always cumbersome for him to get the tool slid under the buckle and get it pinched hard enough to release the buckle. With this tool he is able to push down with both hands to get a fairly easy release. It has brought sincere joy to his life to finally be able to gain some independence with getting out of the car. The tool comes with a key ring to attach to it, and we have just put a lanyard on it to keep it clipped to his seat within reach for easy access so it doesn't get lost in the car. We love this tool!

Since I have arthritic hands, it is really difficult for me to take my grandkids out of their baby seats because of the button where it buckles. I just can't get the hand strength to push it in. Now with this handy little tool, I can hold the back of the buckle and press down with the tool. SOOOOO much easier! Also my older grandson (5 YO) has issues taking the regular seatbelt off when using his raised kid seat. So he also appreciates this tool. I keep it on a springy lanyard so that he and I can use it at any time. God forbid there is an emergency and we have to get the kids out quick. Now we can!

It may seem like a silly product to some, but if you have long nails or arthritis in your hands you’ll know why it’s so helpful to have a device to help push down on buckles. This buckle releaser is super lightweight plastic and it’s hollow so that makes it even more lightweight, but it is durable enough to push down and un-buckle the seatbelts in my truck and the straps on the car seats. I’ve also used it at the gas station to push the buttons on the gas pump when they are more dirty than usual, so there’s a bonus use for it. It’s been working great for me and I wish I had gotten one sooner. The only issues / dislikes I have with it is the keyring and the silicone cover. I wish it didn’t have the hook for the keyring or the keyring itself. While it is small and compact I do feel it’s too large and bulky to put on my keys, and even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t want it attached to my keys. I keep it in my cup holder while I’m in my truck and in my purse when I get out of my truck, I don’t see the need for a key ring to be on it. I just think it would have looked nicer without the key ring and the hoop for the key ring on the side. As for the anti-slip silicone cover, I also think that it’s not necessary - but it also could be a dangerous. The cover itself doesn’t stay on very well and I could see it falling off very easy. My worry is that it’ll fall off and one of the kids will find it and swallow it, it’s just not worth the risk so I don’t use the cover at all. If they wanted it to be anti-slip or have a barrier to prevent scratching or marks I really think they should have used a better material that was fully and securely attached to the piece itself. So all in all those are really the only issues I have with it and they were both easy fixes for me, I removed the cover and removed the keyring. While I do wish the little circle for the keyring wasn’t there I can definitely deal with it since otherwise it’s great and I really do like using it.
