Updated review: updating this review as I reached out to their support team about the paint issues and they replaced my buckle for free. A+ for their support team and the quick response. Updating to 5 stars, love the belt.I really love the look of this belt and it feels like it’s made of good quality parts, but the coating and paint on the buckle are having some peeling issues.The belt takes some time to get use to the way it tightens and loosens and the locking handle is a bit stiff in the beginning but loosens up after some use.Take your time adjusting the belt and cutting it to fit you. Cut small pieces at a time and see how it looks then decide if you need to cut more.Very important: make sure you cut the correct side, I almost didn’t notice the difference.

I guess you cant go wrong with Anson belts and buckles, this one looks great and happy with it overall. However, may I suggest a brand Jiniu. Yes they are Chinese, but I have to tell you their version of the ratchet belt and buckle are amazing and at a far lower cost. Sorry Anson, but compared to Jiniu you are over-priced!

Excellent belts but I think you need to put in the buckle size in the desc i.e. 1.5" or 1.25 in description like your actually website. I bought the classic belt thinking it was the larger buckle but got the smaller buckle size.. kinda annoyed about this..

I discovered the ratchet/slide belt system over a year ago and have replaced all my old traditional buckle belts, or holes in the leather strap alternative. These belts are superior design, high quality, and will last for many years. Probably the last belt i’ll ever buy...unless it’s another really cool ratchet belt.

The belt comes fully assembled and the instructions aren't great. It looked to me like the belt couldn't adjust to fit me and so I returned it. Apparently I was supposed to take the belt off the buckle to size it. T he instructions show something like this as an option, but it appeared to me that it was the tag end of the belt that was supposed to be trimmed (and the tag end couldn't be trimmed to fit me).Clearly I should have been more careful in evaluating the belt before returning it, but I'm giving just three stars because such a careful evaluation really shouldn't have been necessary. The belt should common unattached to buckle to help avoid this confusion and the instructions should be clearer- maybe with red sticker on the butt end (again, not attached to the buckle) saying "TRIM THIS END TO FIT, THEN ATTACH BUCKLE"Hopefully if you order this belt you won't make the mistake that I did.
