Used this in a bed for my honeysuckle and has helped keep weeds back and retain moisture. Looks good and easy to use as some mulches you have to wet down.

To start off, this company seems like a great small business that cares about soil health. I looked at this stuff for a few months before buying it. I’ve been trying out several different mulches around my raised beds to gauge cost+longevity+efficacy. I’m not an expert but I do have some experience with growing food in containers and raised beds are notoriously difficult when it comes to keeping them watered and fed. I also use clay water spikes with bottles and the faster the bottle drains the more water loss. I have the same soil type in all containers and my “test plots” are the same crop and location. This mulch does ok but it’s expensive which means i’m reluctant to pile it on. What’s going on under the mulch (microbial) will take some time before I can determine the benefits. Some mulches (not this one so far) attract bugs that are destructive, this one doesn’t seem to do that which is a plus. So, i’m not sold on this stuff and will need to see how my plants do over a few seasons as I add fresh compost at the end of the season and need to work it Into the soil.

I used this mulch for my crepe myrtles, It has kept its color and shape, doesn't wash or blow away as others do
