Perfect as a cleaning tool for heavy duty pans, molcajetes, metal pieces and more. You name it. A must have kitchen cleaning tool 🧽 They are made with the strong root of a vegetable called “zacatón”. It is dug up with much effort and separated from the plant. Then it is rinsed several times and shaken vigorously until it is completely free of dirt. All of this is done by hand.

2 brushes come with little loops for hanging up. They are tough enough for a sturdy molcajete.

Just unpackaged and before first use to clean molcajete, I scrubbed my palm with them while rinsing with water only. I don’t like that too many bristles came out. I will not purchase these again.

These are not the greatest quality. With each use, some pieces fall off. I would not recommend. They will serve their purpose, but not for long.

I prefer to use a separate brush specifically for cleaning my molcajete and these are perfect! The loop on the top to hang them doesn't stay in perfectly, but you just need to push it back in and it's fine.

I really have nothing bad to say about this set of two brushes for my molcajete, they really were the appropriate tools for cleaning the thing. I'd buy them again had I still had my molcajete, but I had to throw it out after a mouse infestation... so, now that you know more about my life, may you have a good day!.

Sometimes the simplest design is the most effective. I first discovered these escobetas in Mexico years ago, and was thrilled to find them on the site. They are good for removing heavy food remains from the inside of pots, but without scratching the pots themselves.

Great for scrubbing cast iron pots and skillets.

I started using escobetas a few years ago when my friend gave me one. They are so wonderful for cleaning non-stick pans because they don't scratch. For dishes, I scrape them in the trash then use the escobeta to get off anything else, like sauce, and then I use a sponge with soap for the final wash. For some things, like my coffee mug that are harder to get a sponge in, the escobeta works beautifully on its own. Pictured are my two new escobetas that just arrived along side the one to be replaced. It's about a year old used multiple times a day. I also use my escobeta to wash vegetables before I cook them.
