maybe for holding Christmas lights on a tree (joking) but seriously not suitable for any serious applications. these are NOT comparable with what you get a hardware store. they are smaller, softer metal and nuts strip out with just a hand nut driver trying to tighten them.

These clamps looks suspiciously like 3/32" clamps. Instead of heavy, 1/4-20 threaded U bolts that you'd expect, these. clamps have light-duty 10-32 U bolts. The supplied nuts are sloppily made and many stripped the threads off of the U bolts and had to be discarded.Most of them worked, but I definitely wouldn't buy them again.

I used these for cables on my deck railing. I rated a 3 because some would not tighten without the thread striping out. Wasted about 10 due to this issue

Used the clamps to attach metal wire shelving to hanging chain supports, I notice that a few of the clamps had little rust spots on them, it had sprinkled and they may have gotten wet, damp, but that is what the galveniztion is for, so they need to have their Q.C. techs., check into that whole process. Other wise exactly as stated and what was expected,

These are the WORST wire rope clips I have ever purchased. These things are JUNK. Quality 3/16 clips are much beefier with better threads on the u-bolts and quality nuts. I wouldn't trust these things to support the weight of a hamster. NEVER AGAIN.
