I took the foot out and used it on my existing kickstand because the body of it did not have the back on the top for my kickstand safety switch. . Of course it’s a little too long for my existing adjustable so I had to cut an inch off the top of it either way. I really just didn’t have the time to send it back and find another one.

Needed a longer kickstand. This was not the answer. #1: My year, model motorcycle was listed for this part. Didn’t fit. Kickstand mount on bike wider than the attachment point of the kickstand. Either return, or widen the kickstand (grinding) or grind down the kick stand mount. I went with grinding.#2: The kickstand safety actuating tab on kickstand doesn’t come anywhere close to the switch. Impossible to modify with out welding. I did away with the switch.#3: There is no heel post to allow the rider to put the kickstand down while mounted on the motorcycle. None!It does stick out more than the OEM, just under the foot peg. I MIGHT, be able to make that work, otherwise more welding, or dismount the motorcycle and use your toe. Not good.
