I bought this ankle bell bracelet for celtic / norse shamanic music playing (djembe, didgeridoo, ankle bells). It's one of the few products offering 4 rows of bells. This product would be better in 3 ways:1. bigger bells, they just so quiet & thin sounding,2. velcro for easy on/off instead of the difficult buckles.3. The padded "patent" plastic leather would be far better as one layer of thick cowhide, for both feel + appearance. One of the strap grommets have already come loose from it's hole...

I do not do Indian dance, but when I saw these bells, I knew they would meet my need. I work at my local Renaissance Festival every year. On RenFaire weekends, camping is part of the experience. During the beginning of Faire Season, it's dark by the time I'm done with my job and start walking back to camp. It may seem strange, but having bells on while walking across the desert in the dark will feel less dangerous. The bells will deter wild creatures I don't particularly wish to meet in the dark. I also personally like the sound of bells and have been wanting to incorporate them into my garb for a while. I know there are many options, but these ankle bells are truly perfect.

I don't like the leather quality. The belt straps are not good and the buckles are sharp and not so easy to wear and remove and uncomfortable, hurting the back of my feet while dancing
