My 1700AWS was starting to double (or more) -feed frequently. Changing this consumable part fixed the problem immediately - I have not had a double-feed since. I will say that I don't think I got the full advertised life out of the original roller pad, but certainly, for the price of this consumable, feel that I got my money's worth - glad that Brother designed it this way, removing the need to replace the whole scanner.Installation was extremely easy - just snap out the old one and snap this one in place. It took almost no time at all.
