I ordered this machine to start a small business and couldn’t recommend it enough! It takes a bit of practice but it’s a fantastic machine. It’s can be noisy but with a mat under it, it absorbs most of the sound. I’ve managed to pay the machine back in a matter of months, so definitely a great value for money. Would recommend!

I’m not professional in sewing embroidery, quilting, but this machine is perfect for everything, even if ur professional or just beginning of sewing , it’s very easy to use and learn it. There’s lots of stuff u can do. The app for embroidery style is amazing. U can just take a picture of anything and instantly u can have ur personalized pattern.

This machine is not my first embroidery machine, but it could have been! Very easy to understand and has great features like trimming thread between letters in a font, awesome stitching speed, and plenty of sewing and embroidery options. I have loved using this machine so much, i believe it is the best option Brother has for a single needle embroidery machine.

This machine is easy to use, has a great selection of stitches, and is very quiet. So far I’ve embroidered in the hoop Christmas ornaments on both regular and stiffened felt and the results were great. Read your manual—I changed to the adjustable bobbin case (included with the machine) when using 40 wt bobbin thread as was advised. A pieced and quilted small wall hanging went together hassle free. Wish I had upgraded to this machine sooner!

I only use this one for embroidery. I do know they offer a machine for embroidery only, however when I travel I am taking this with me as it can sew and embroider.The cost is a bit much for this. I chose this model based on reviews and the access to online options of embroidery designs. The tension is strong once you put down the presser foot, which is great to avoid loose stitches. The durability is great as long as you take care of it! The touch screen feature and wirless access has been great functionality. The only reason I have given it one less star is because it breaks soo many needles. I have never broken a needle and this machine has broken 11 in less than a month. This is not an Amazon issue just the product, so I think I am going to need to call brother.* yes I have bought correct needles and tried several brands. There is no reason to break, even on thin fabrics and thick. I have broken at least one needle on every design.

This machine was delivered today and I was disappointed that I couldn’t use it due to the fact that 1. It has an American plug and 2. It needs a voltage adapter to take the power down from 240v to 120v. There’s NO WARNING information about this in the description or the books that arrive with it. I’ve already waited 3 weeks for shipment and now I have to wait for the converter plug. Thanks to one person who highlighted this I wouldn’t have known otherwise and it could have damaged the machine.

I dislike the fact that I could not find the voltage mentioned anywhere except on the back of the machine do I could only see it after I got it. I had to order a converter to use it in UK.

With one exception, I'm loving the Brother SE2000 machine. It's my first embroidery/sewing machine. I bought it for the embroidery feature but also finding that the stitching for regular sewing is far better than the Brother CS6000 that I had purchased during the pandemic. The stitches are now much straighter and look more professional. I rated this 5 stars but I want to warn sewers that the automatic threading feature is not as easy at it appears on videos. I struggled with it and wound up breaking the lever after only a few tries. I hadn't even used that much force. I'm now waiting for a replacement. So - be sure that the needle is ALL THE WAY UP when using the lever. Otherwise it misses the needle hole. Also, leave the pressure foot in up position. The videos I watched seemed to differ. So, except for this, and now having to wait for a replacement lever before I can use the automatic threading feature again, I do love the machine. (which is extremely helpful and quicker when you are changing embroidery threads frequently). The quality of embroidery is lovely and it was easy to learn how to do.

In my 60's and been sewing all my life. This machine definitely had convenient features...auto thread cutter and needle threader were awesome. The sewing part was as you would expect from any reputable brand or pricey model sewing machine. However it was NOT as quiet as claimed by others. In fact it was louder than my current machine. While sewing, it quite often made a thudding sound which I knew wasn't normal for such a pricey machine, thus one of the reasons I returned it. The presser foot lift was positioned different than my current machine and felt a bit awkward but clearly that's on me. THE EMBROIDERY part of this machine was the other reason I chose returned it. I thought it would be a wonderful bonus to my creativity when I was researching what new machine to purchase. But for me, using it proved far more work than it was worth. Embroidering one color at a time was a pain, and trying to embroidered a modest size 6 color design on a size small jean jacket was very time consuming. Trying to get the denim just right in the two piece hoop without the top part popping off was a challenge. Then trying to secure the hoop onto the machine while also trying to maneuver the rest of the jacket out of the way proved difficult. Learning the settings to each embroidery design took quite a bit of time and was a learning curve even after I devoted a few days reading instructions, watching videos, and patiently playing around with them. Ultimately, after several attempts to embroider a reasonable variety of designs on a variety of fabrics and clothing, reality hit and I realized it takes too much time to end up with a successful attractive design. Also, you really are very limited on WHERE you can embroider on clothing. You can't do sleeves, or legs, and small areas like the collar of a jean shirt or the cuffs of a shirt would be impossible with the 5x7 hoop. So given this was not going to aid in my creativity the way I thought, (and also given the thudding sound), it made no sense to keep the machine or replace it for the same model. It was returned for a full refund, and I will now resume my search for strictly a higher quality sewing machine
