First, my mistake is that I did not buy my PE900 from Amazon. I purchased from a dealer, and was advised by Brother not to return it. I plugged the machine in, started answering the setup language question, and the machine died and would not turn on again. New cord, different outlet, it just did not work. I contacted Brother who told me to take it to an authorized repair center. While they are a wonderful local dealer, Brother has been zero help in this $1000 purchase. The parts to just enable the machine to turn on again are back ordered, with no date of shipment estimated. Hoping it's just the motherboard or power supply that is bad; however, it has been nearly 60 days at the shop and a complaint to Brother resulted in a phone call to the repair dealer, promising to find the back ordered parts. That was ten days ago, and I have heard nothing. Meanwhile Brother closed my complaint ticket, considering the matter resolved. Had I bought this from Amazon, I could have returned it and had a replacement in days. I would think twice about ordering this product. If the motherboard and powersupply are on backorder, this tells me that Brother has manufactured a lot of defective machines and can't keep up with the repairs. Research other brands. Beware of Brother.
