  • Thread Guides: The color-coded thread guides make staying organized and in control a breeze, allowing you to handle two, three, or even four threads simultaneously with one or two needles.
  • Great for Challenging Materials: Excellent for adding professional finishing touches on fine knits and stretchy materials which can be challenging fabrics on traditional sewing machines.
  • Brightly Lit Work Area: The AIR1800 has high quality lighting that’s easy on the eyes when sewing on dark fabrics.

You’ll be walking on air with the technologically advanced AIR1800 Air Serger. The AIR1800 Air Serger is a versatile, durable serger and a must-have for any sewing room. A new technology that is air driven, the AIR1800 makes changing threads a breeze. How does this work? The threading ports are connected to the end of each looper by tubes, and at the touch of a button, a blast of air sends the threads through the loopers, so it's a cinch to change thread colors. The modernistic AIR1800 is more efficient than a traditional sewing machine as it can cut and finish seams all in one pass. The AIR1800 precisely loops the stitch and gives you a nice, smooth edge. Plus, it uses multiple threads and can be used for both construction and finishing. While the gust of air will push the thread through the loopers, threading the needle is accessible using the convenient needle threader. Simply toggle to the left or right needle position to thread the needle and trim the excess with the built-in thread cutter. The list of convenient features on the AIR1800 starts with an error LED indicator light that will notify when the fabric cover is open or if the presser foot is raised, quick-change levers for rolled hemstitch, and a switch that will activate and deactivate the cutting knife. The brightly lit LED work area is easy on the eyes when sewing on dark fabrics, while the useful Adjustable Stitch feature allows the width and length of the stitch to be set for your project. The AIR1800 Air serger is excellent for challenging fabrics such as fine knits and stretchy materials. In addition, the Differential Feed Ratio (0.7mm to 2.0mm) on the AIR1800 provides outstanding stitch quality and acts as the tool for custom lettuce edge finishes on specialty fabrics. And thanks to the cutting-edge technology utilized in the AIR1800, you'll be able to do up to 1,300 stitches per minute and make clean edges and seams. The AIR1800 makes adding decorative stitches to homemade garments a snap. The noise level on the AIR1800 is moderate, making it great for adding a decorative touch to any garment anytime. The color-coded thread guides make staying organized and in control a breeze, allowing you to handle two, three, or even four threads simultaneously with one or two needles. Use the easy one-touch needle threading for two needles to get started the moment inspiration strikes, and with the large optional extension table1 with storage means there's no project too big for you to tackle. The AIR1800 is ideal for advanced sewers who are already using a serger but are looking to upgrade or for serger beginners using sewing machines for garment construction, home decor, crafting, and quilting but are looking to add decorative finishes to their projects. When it comes time to add professional touches to your next project, you’ll be walking on air with the AIR1800 Air Serger.

I'm 93 years old with macular degeneration. Self-threader was what attracted me. Still learning everything it can do. Love it.

It was easy to set up. I studied the manual and watched videos several times but I could not get the lower looper to thread. I used the threading wire down the looper opening and feel like there was an obstacle in the tube, maybe a burr or a flaw that prevented the thread from getting through. I could have threaded it using the wire threader but i bought it for the air threader. I have returned it.

I absolutely LOVE this Brother Air 1800 serger! It's so much nicer and easier than having to thread the loopers manually. The serger I received arrived in perfect condition with all tools needed and with an attachable table for larger projects. My one wish is that it had a bin to collect the cut fabric. The instruction book is well written, and the serger works beautifully. If I could give 10 stars for this, I would!

Unit came pre threaded. So we figure it worked at the factory. But broke sometime after. Very disappointed. Was eager to get started with it. Looks to be well built. There is no way to thread if the air threading breaks. I see that as a weak point. Had to return ☹️

I originally bought the cheap model serger and it died within 2 months. Upgrading to this one was a good decision. It is easy to thread, powerful and fast, even stitching, etc. I love this serger.
