So after figuring out that the tubing needed to be cut in order to secure the hard black tube as well as the air stone, check valve and release valve I absolutely love this little jobber! i have to say I had over 90% hatch in 24 hrs, i made one liter of salt water with 2.5 tsp aquarium salt but only used less than 2 cups in the hatchery and 1/4 tsp eggs (i only have 3 bettas so dont need to much) and put a small heater in the area to maintain 75 deg and also be careful that the tube doesnt pop off the air pump! that happened to me twice and I still had a great hatch rate. the only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of directions

This is a good brine shrimp hatchery and there are pipettes, tubing and artemia storage vials included with the kit. The only thing is the pump that comes with it really strong (USB powered, a bit buzzy), so just don't fill the tube with water all the way like I did because it will cause the water and the eggs to bubble out over the top without a control valve. I do recommend reducing the airflow by using the included control valve. All in all this is a great and thoughtfully assembled kit.

First, the instructions suck. Normally I can work through broken English, but this was bad. Second, half the stuff wasn't there. Thankfully, I had what was missing already. Third, the air pump is LOUD. Even after trying to rest it on a towel it was still horrendous. Not only loud, but it burnt out in one night. I definitely would not recommend.

Great design. I love I can stick it to the side of my tank. I wish I could give it five stars but the pump didn’t work out of the box. I have a big enough air pump that I was able to put a Y fitting and use the one pump since I was able to put it on the side of the tank. The package came with good tubing and the included valves are a good quality also. The only real issue was the pump or it would have easily been five stars. They could drop the pump and make it a dollar or two cheaper. But the price point and ease of assembly earn it a solid 4. Would recommend.

I'm glad I ordered this system. I went with the homemade system and it worked, but this one is better. I'm glad I decided to go with one that comes with a net, I use the net every time I collect the bbs. It's worth the buy. It's so easy to use, I now hatch the bbs multiple times during the week. I'm thinking about getting another one.

You have to cut tubing in order for the air line to be put inside. It says to cut 1/2 in. Of air clear air line on each end to fit the air stone and gray acrylics tube and fit the tubing to the hole on top. Black tubing needs to be cut for the check valve. It has instructions on the listing on Amazon also. I read both the instructions which are vague at first and went back to the description. Suggest putting it inside of the tank if using that way. I put it on the outside empty and it fell. Otherwise use the stand. I put it inside the tank so no need for extra heat. Air stone works well. I may put a regulator to slow the bubbles down a little bit. This is great for someone who wants to culture live brine shrimp.

Realistically holds about 400 ml. Good if you have a small number of tanks. I use about half a scoop from the Aquarium Co-op brine shrimp eggs and it handles it fine. The plastic shutoff valve is cheap and should be replaced with a decent quality metal one.Even if you decide to upgrade to a high end hatchery in the future. Or if you decide that hatching your own brine shrimp is not worth the effort. The usb air pump makes this kit worthwhile. The kit close to the same price as a stand-alone pump.I have used it during power outages on my 75 gallon and it puts out plenty of air as a backup. You can diy a hatchery, but it will end up costing more than this “starter kit”.

I was so excited when this showed up a week earlier than expected so I went and set it up immediately! There were no instructions supplied to put it together but I figured it out fairly easily. I tried suction cupping it to my fish tank but the plastic holders for around the tube snapped in half when I tried pulling them off of the tank to replace them!!!! Not only that but the air pump included lasted 2 days before it just stopped working! Very unhappy with this purchase!

Really good budget setup for hatching baby brine shrimp. The usb air pump died within 24 hours, hence the 3 stars, otherwise no complaints. I used air pump -> air line -> air regulator -> air line -> bottom of cylinder (NO AIR STONE) and put it in a 79 degree tank with the suction cups. Worked perfectly and the shrimp are easily drained through the airline and regulator once hatched. Going from a DIY bottle setup to this makes it seem deluxe!
