Purchased this for my nephew’s (9th grade boy) Christmas gift. He loved it. Perfect for a boy who has everything and loves sports. My sister confirmed it was easy to install and lit the hoop perfectly.

These lights are fun- they do not always work when you score but when they do there are several mini light “shows” and it makes it easier to see the hoop at night. However- despite installing them per directions, they started slipping off after just a few days of play.

We originally got this for Christmas. We installed it the morning after it did not operate I messed with it a couple days afterwards as well as a few more times from there as well. Still did not operate any time at all meant to reach out to the manufacturer but unfortunately was unable to as well as leave this review just due to life. But yea, it never worked.Update about a year later: The reason for the update is because my kid has now asked for them again this following year for Christmas as it’s coming up being that it did not work originally. So I am leaving this update, tune form that customer service never got back or reached out to me regarding the issues with this product from initial purchase. And again it was dead on arrival didn’t work once it didn’t connect. It didn’t do anything at all put the batteries in and that was about it. It did nothing. I do not recommend this product.

I installed this for my grandchild last weekend and it's really cool, especially when paired with a glow-in-the-dark basketball. The two biggest problems I noticed when reading the reviews for these hoop lights is that the zip ties break too easily and that the lights don't seem to last very long before they quit working. I used stronger zip ties to help with the first problem. As for the second issue, we'll just have to give it time and see. I'll try to remember to update this in 6 months or so.

I recently purchased the Basketball Hoop Light as a gift for my 8-year-old nephew who loves playing basketball. While there are some positives about this product, there are also some limitations that I would like to highlight in this review.Firstly, the LED lights are bright and add a fun element to the basketball hoop, especially when playing at dusk or in the evening. The different color options are visually appealing and my nephew enjoys changing the colors to match his mood or favorite team. The installation process was fairly straightforward, and the light fits well on his basketball hoop without any issues.The light is also durable and has held up well to outdoor weather conditions, which is a definite plus. It has survived several rainstorms without any damage, and my nephew has been using it regularly for a few weeks now without any issues.However, there are some limitations to consider. The battery life of the light is not as long-lasting as I had hoped. It requires frequent recharging, which can be inconvenient, especially during longer basketball sessions. Additionally, the remote control has limited range, and my nephew needs to be fairly close to the light to operate it, which can be challenging during gameplay.Furthermore, the attachment mechanism of the light to the basketball hoop could be more secure. The light tends to shift or come loose during intense gameplay, requiring frequent adjustments to keep it in place. The overall build quality of the light could also be improved, as some parts feel a bit flimsy and may not withstand heavy use over time.While my nephew enjoys using the Basketball Hoop Light and it adds a fun element to his basketball games, the limitations in terms of battery life, remote control range, attachment mechanism, and overall durability are worth considering. It may be suitable as a stocking stuffer or a small gift for young basketball enthusiasts, but for more serious gameplay or prolonged use, there may be more robust options available.
