About this item

  • ADVANCED MICROBIAL FORMULA – MicroBacter7 Complete Bioculture features a complex system of non-pathogenic aerobic and anaerobic microbes, along with natural enzymes. This unique bacteria water conditioner formulation is specifically designed as an aquarium water clarifier and filtration system
  • NUTRIENT REMINERALIZATION – The MicroBacter7 formula introduces aquarium bacteria to enhance nitrification, denitrification, and organic waste degradation in both marine and freshwater aquaria and limits the availability of pre-existing phosphate.
  • ENHANCED WATER QUALITY – The bacteria supplement promotes a clean and healthy environment by rapidly reducing concentrations of organic carbon, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate and hydrogen sulfide production in all marine and freshwater ecosystems, leading to improved water quality.
  • DIRECTIONS – Shake well before use. Mix MicroBacter7 with 250 ml of aquarium water in a clean container before adding it to the aquarium. If using a pipette below water level, clean it thoroughly with fresh water before placing it back into the MicroBacter7 bottle.
  • AMERICAN-MADE EXCELLENCE – Brightwell Aquatics is an industry-leading brand committed to providing innovative and scientifically backed aquatic care products. Made in the USA, we consistently deliver advanced superior quality solutions to elevate the vibrancy and health of your aquarium

Mix appropriate volume of MicrōBacter7 (see below) with 250-ml (~8 fl. oz.) of aquarium water in a clean container prior to addition to aquarium. If using a pipette to dispense MicrōBacter7 below water level of container or aquarium, be sure to thoroughly clean pipette with fresh water prior to placing tube back into MicrōBacter7 bottle; failure to do so will contaminate the product. Best results may be obtained by adding mixture to external biological filtration system (if applicable). Do not add to pump intake port(s). For best results, use within 1-year of purchase date. Grossly overdosing MicrōBacter7 will not significantly increase the effectiveness of the product, nor the rate at which it enacts changes in aquaria. The following recommendations are based upon extensive testing and will produce the best results in most aquaria. Medium- to High-nutrient Systems, or to seed Biological Filtration in new aquaria: To effectively decrease the concentration of available nutrients and waste material in all marine and freshwater aquaria, add 5 ml (1 capful) per 25 US-gallons (94.6 L) [≈4 drops per gallon (3.8 L)] of aquarium water daily for the first two weeks of use; the impact that MicrōBacter7 has on an aquarium is most evident within this period. Turn protein skimming and UV-sterilization off for a period of 4 hours following addition to aquaria. A noticeable difference in water clarity is typically apparent within 30-minutes of dosing. Follow same instructions for new aquarium start-up. Thereafter, switch to “low-nutrient” dosage (below). Stable, Low-nutrient Systems: To maintain a low concentration of available nutrients in all marine and freshwater aquaria, 5 ml (1 capful) of MicrōBacter7 per 50 US-gallons (189.3 L) [≈2 drops per gallon (3.8 L)] of aquarium water no more than once each week; alternately, add 1 drop per 50 US-gallons daily (or 1 drop per 25 US-gallons every other day). Turn protein skimming and UV-sterilization off for a period of 4 hours following addition to aquaria. Dosage may be adjusted according to perceived benefit to aquarium, however it is recommended that the dosage not exceed 1 drop per 10 US-gallons per day. With time, hobbyists may determine that decreasing the dosage and/or dosing frequency by up to 50% sufficiently maintains a low-nutrient environment. During changes in biological filtration or when increasing the aquarium bioload, dose 1 drop per 25 US-gallons daily for one week, then resume “low-nutrient” dosage. This product arrived just over 24hrs ago and I am really impressed with it. Its several different strains of helpful, safe bacteria in a bottle. So won't harm fish, coral, sponges, anemones, worms etc or the bacteria in your live rock and filter. After a small water change and quick syphon of the really bad parts of my sand I used this as directed on the bottle (remember to turn protein skimmer off for 4 hours). I did this late at night so went to bed.The following morning I woke up to a pristine tank.. it looked brand new inside! Water looked clearer, fish looked brighter and corals etc looked healthier. I was recommended this by a friend to use alongside Microbacter Clean regularly and their tank is now crystal clean and healthy. So will definitely be using this for the foreseeable..

I can’t thank you enough for making such a great product. I had a huge nitrate problem and fish were dying daily. I was trying everything I could to help them, doing drastic water changes every other day, using filter additives and other products but nothing seemed to help and they kept dying. I could literally tell a difference within one day of using it. The water became a bit clearer and the fish seemed to be in less distress. But by the second day of dosing my neon tetras, who had been gasping for breath and swimming sideways, were swimming normally again!!! I had lost most of the school over the previous week and thought they were goners for sure but they came back to and it’s day four now and I haven’t lost one more fish! They’re all swimming normally now, the water looks so much clearer and my light is shining very brightly through the tank! I can’t recommend this product enough!! It literally saved my fish’s lives and helped me emotionally as I felt so guilty for losing so many of them. I bought a huge bottle and will keep dosing every day for the next two weeks, and will plan on using it once a week for the rest of my fish keeping days I’m so sold on this product. If they have stock I’m buying as many shares as I can afford LOL

I decided to get my neglected reef tank in order after YEARS of doing nothing but keeping the ATO reservoir full. Dropped nitrates from over 160 to zero in a few months with aggressive (50%) weekly water changes and upgraded oversized skimmer. The perfect rapid nutrient reduction recipe for a dinoflagellates outbreak and that's just what happened. I mixed a capful into 2 cups of tank water and put it in the sump/display of my 30g/10g for 5 days. Turned the skimmer off for 4 hours per instructions, didn't turn the lights on for the 1rst 2 days and feed daily instead of the every 3rd day I was doing. Dino outbreak was gone completely in 3 days! I know it's not specifically marketed for this or cleaning and I've never been a big believer in bacteria dosing especially in an aquarium like mine that's been running (albeit neglected) for over a decade, started with REAL Fiji live rock (back when they were importing and it was affordable) and has had enough new coral additions to add bacteria diversity BUT this seems to actually do something noticable for me.

I have never used bacterial boosters on a reef system of mine that was more than 10 years old but after having to move my tank I suffered some serious algae blooms, loss of Coraline algae, and stressed corals. I feel that using micro back door seven helped tremendously and getting my bacteria back in balance, reducing nuisance algae, and as an added bonus has helped clear the water. I am continuing to use this in the low nutrient mode on that system while my new tank cycles. I will be continuing to use this product to help add beneficial bacteria to my Reef systems moving forward.
