Nice square post for my mailbox. It is some type of plastic, hollow inside, so we added a square wooden post inside the middle. Very strong now.

Perfect replacement for my 4"x4" wood mailbox post. No more having to contend with carpenter bees and other insects destroying the wooden structure. Re-used my existing aluminum address numbers that were originally painted black by spray painting with a high gloss white paint & primer all-in-one product. The contrast of white numbers on the black textured powder coated paint makes for a nice crisp clean look!

I dug a hole around 18" deep and installed the post with 1/2 bag of concrete. It is very sturdy and I'm sure will hold up well. The mailbox I bought fit perfectly and there were no issues with lining up holes or anything like that. I took the mailbox off my house and will use this one from now on. Glad I did, the old mailbox didn't have a flag, so the mailman and I am happier.

Installation much harder (cost more money) to properly secure in concrete. It’s hard to understand why they aren’t making adjustments & making it taller! ! People document it but no one fixes it. Thank goodness reviews warned me! (Still costly).

I live in a somewhat rural area and wanted a simple post for mounting a new mailbox. Digging out the old post was the hardest part of the process! Once that was done and the new cement was mixed and poured, setting the post & making sure it was level was pretty much a snap. I like the clean, simple lines of the black post and was pleasantly surprised because it is very solid [open core] and sturdy and a perfect height.

This is a good clean and uncluttered design. Good gauge of thickness. Although mine did arrive with a slight dent on top which gets bent back and covered with the bottom of the mailbox so no biggie. I will note that I was not aware that it came with a mounting braket. It does. A decent durable one at that so unless you are unsure it will fit your mailbox, you can can find a universal on here for about 6 bucks. Otherwise, this bracket is of better quality. It has multiple spacing so I would imagine it fit a good amount. The pole and bracket have multiple mounting positions so if you are using a rectangular deep front/back or rectangular by width mail box, there are hole where you can turn it and mount it accordingly. That was smart! Comes with hardware, short and long screws with spacers for the long screws and nylon lock nuts. I would have preferred extra washers to put one on the screw side and bolt side but I had extras in my kits anyways. This was because the holes in the mailbox were about 3/4 the size of the bolt/nut head so putting a washer helps cover the holes better so it holds up better from tearing through the holes as the years wear on it.You can use cement but there is post mounting structural type foam at local stores for about 13 bucks which is simple, clean and quick! Holds remarkably better than I ever thought, you just have to make sure you dig deep enough for a really solid hold. Barely any movement at all. Overall, I'd buy this again.

This is a nice, well constructed mail box pole. I would not consider it a heavy duty unit. It is light weight and strong.......if you had the need for "heavy duty".....or super strong, you could fill it, or partially fill it...with cement. I purchased this for one of those extra large mailbox's that hold small packages.......so it suit's my need perfectly. Since it's all aluminum it should last you a lifetime. It def gets 5 stars on quality & value.
