I've not had this for long, but I'll come back if I have any issues with the functionality. Installwise however it was simple and took be about an hour. When unpacking, my box had a cover next to post. So I made sure to keep each pair together or note which went with which so they would go on easy at the end.The key is in the prep-work. Take your time. The instructions say to go to each stud on the car and thread/un-thread the mounting bolt to remove the factory paint from the car's studs. DO THIS it makes putting the nut on SO much easier when the rack is on. Tedious, but better than stripping threads out and paying a dealership to finish the install. Also, I opted to use a dab of thread-locker on each threaded fastener so that they will stay put over time.Next, I assembled each cross-member to the post and loosely put the 2 screws in on the left and right side using a stubby screwdriver. Just tight enough so it doesn't wobble. Then I mounted the racks on the car over the studs. Since the above screws are still somewhat loose, the posts are allowed to shift a bit so they can fit over the studs. Then take the stubby screwdriver and gently pull up one side of the rack without shifting the post on the crossbar and tighten one screw. Do the same for the other side. Then remove the whole thing and put it on a table upside down. Put some thread-locker on the other looser screw and tighten it down. Then undo the first screw and add thread-locker to it and tighten down. Repeat for the other side.Repeat the above for the other bar assembly.Once the bars are mounted back on the car, it's time to secure them with the nuts. Again, I put some thread-locker on each nut before screwing it down tight. After that, I popped the covers on each side. I had to wiggle one down and give it a fist pound to make sure it secured properly. That was it!

This Honda CR-V roof rack looks like the OEM roof rack and performs wonderfully. The seller ships it to you in two days. I have had this rack on my CR-V for about a month now. The first time I drove with the rack I thought that at highway speeds I could detect some added wind noise. But I certainly do not notice the wind noise now and I would say that is one BIG benefit of buying an OEM or an OEM copy roof rack like this one. There is no whistling noise either. Some of the less expensive OEM copies are purported to make whistling noises...I wouldn't be able to stand for that every time I drove my car! I give this roof rack 4 stars. It gets 5 stars for looking and performing lke the OEM version. However, installation instructions were incomplete and installation required some tedious muscle power so I took off one star. The instructions didn't tell you what to do with the small screws and nuts. I had to look to Amazon reviews to realize that those small screws and nuts are meant to help you lock into position the bars at the correct width for your car before they are installed. Further, having to screw and unscrew the bolts to the car in order to get them to fit right was very tedious and required a strong hand. I only installed half those bolts while my husband did the other half and my hand was ache-y from the chore. On the other hand, except for the bolt tightening, the installation was straight forward and easy. I would suggest that most people could install this roof rack on their own without profesional help. My main use of the roof rack is to transport kayaks. So far I have only tried one kayak upside down on the rack. I didn't think about this until I went to tie my kayak down: There are no bars running the length of the CR-V, they only run across the width! So in order to tie the kayak to the bars you have to run your tie downs inside the car. That's not a big deal, except if you get caught in a rain storm wherein the tie downs will allow the rain to get into your car! Since I plan on buying a kayak rack in order to transport multiple kayaks on the roof, this isn't such a big deal to me. However, it is worth mentioning here.
