This is not vellum. It is a lightly coated paper. It tears like paper and shreds when wet, like paper.

This product is exactly as described by the seller. It would have been better for my project if the paper had been larger, however, I made it work. I will use this seller in the future as I am very pleased with the quality of the paper.
