So while working on a piece of equipment, i let out the magic smoke that makes the electronic hardware work. I repaced the rectifier that lost the magic smoke with one that had the magc smoke and the equipment started working again.

This rectifier only lasted ONE month. I would recommend finding another manufacturer.

I'm on a personal campaign to let Chinese vendors know that I will no longer give a good review for electrical or electronic products that that arrive without any documentation, assuming that we know how to use it. They went to the effort of putting a card in the box trolling for a good review but didn't bother to put a wiring diagram with it. The device had 2 of 4 terminals marked with symbols but unless you're very familiar with the device they only give clues. I had to go online to find instructions so I wouldn't miswire and possibly damage the the recifier.
