Made of durable nylon and a mesh size perfect for extracting all the good and holding back the not so good. Try it. It's huge perfect for a five gallon bucket or a wider 10 gallon pot.

Good quality bags. I don’t use them as intended though. I use them as ice bags. I have an industrial ice maker. These store ice so that the machine can continue to produce. Once I need a refill in the main freezer, I carry the bag from the basement & dump it in the bin. It also allows me to break up ice without an ice pick or hammer. Works great. I got the idea because I use similar (smaller) strain bags to make oat milk. I tried them with the ice but they weren’t large enough. Goodbye microplastics & hello convenience.

Seems well made but the weave is so tight it almost won't drain. It's a pain to use.

I am using these to strain moonshine but the weave is too fine and takes forever to strain.

This is a large, wide bag. It fits over about any pot or strainer. I placed it over a strainer and poured my bones and broth over it. Nothing got through the bag but pure broth! The clean-up was amazingly simple. I turned it inside-out, sprayed water over it to release the sediment, and scrubbed it by hand with hot water and Dawn dish liquid. It held up amazingly well. I threw it in my washing machine, a small load, hot water, and a splash of Dawn. It came out looking brand new. I will use these again when it's time to make crabapple jelly!

These bags are great. They're also huge. They can cover the inside and most of the outside of a 20 quart pot.I recommend cleaning them pretty well to begin with if you're using them to strain jelly. They leech a bit of natural tannins which can disrupt the colors. I boiled and drained a few times and that worked nicely. These bags are a game changer with my large batches of jelly and jam. I would still use them for small batches too. They're just so handy. I will be using them again for years to come. They are sturdy and work well for staining out pulp and tiny seeds leaving nearly perfectly clear liquid. One reviewer mentioned that they had difficulty getting the liquid through the bags. This problem can be easily fixed by dampening the bags before pouring the fruits and juices through. They are a very fine mesh, so be prepared for some of the liquid that would go through cheesecloth not coming through. Fruit particles also won't be coming through to cloud the jelly.I boil first just to insure they are sanitized, then hang over a large pot. When the fruits are soft and ready, I pour them into the bag still hanging in the pot. Then I lift the bag out of the pot and use the draw string to tie and suspend over the pot to allow the liquid to strain. Then I empty the fruit pulp, rinse, and boil again before hanging to dry. I took the plastic drawstring locks off because I was hesitant to boil them and I've found I don't really need them for what I'm doing. These bags are great. I'll never use cheesecloth or traditional jelly bags again.
