Installation:
1, Turn off water at the tap.
2, Measure distance and cut extension tube to length with hacksaw if needed.
3, Put the nut and washer on the tailpiece.
4, Position the extension tube and tighten the nut.
5, Run water to test for leaks.

I placed a magnet on the pipe because the inside of the pipe is not brass. It is attracted to magnets. Brass is not magnetic. It is a pot metal of unknown composition.
