OXYGEN-MAPP Torch

It is an innovative solution to brazing.

This brazing system use disposable (1.4 oz) oxygen, and 14 oz MAPP cylinder. Making it light weight and compact. You can easily carry it to anywhere you like.

Why Oxygen-MAPP Torch?

Every torch needs Oxygen for the fuel to burn.

In a traditional torch, Air will supply Oxygen.

However, if you need a smaller flame or higher temperature, it will require more Oxygen.

This torch is super ideal for welding, melting, brazing, jewelry work, etc.

  • Mobile brazing system design. Light weight, compact. Carry it up a ladder or into an attic easily
  • HIGH TEMPERATURE| Up to 6432℉ (3000℃)

the regulator works very well and was surprised how much longer oxygen tank lasted compared to my old torch kitthe controls at the torch end make it easier to control the flame desiredthis torch works great

Functions exactly as it should. Love the small size for ease of use. Made of solid brass with smooth operating valves. Overall quality tool.

The item looks good. No thanks to the packaging. The tip wasn't damaged thank goodness. I haven't used it yet but it should be fine. Why they don't cover the tip to keep it in the box is beyond me.

Love it. Appears to be VERY well made. Should last a long time. Works very easily. I use it for brazing a wonderful nickel/silver brazing rod that melts about 1,200 F. Well below the temperature the torch is capable of. This rod flows beautifully, like an easy solder joint. Evidently 15% silver or higher makes for such good flow. There appears to be only about 150 degrees difference between the MAPP/Pro and propane. (This is not as hot at the no-longer-available original MAPP gas.) So for my purposes there is no advantage to using the twice-as-expensive MAPP/Pro. I'm using propane.

Tip broke through the box resulting in small dings to the orifice. This would upset the fuel flow and the flame.I repaired it with minor work instead of bothering with a refund or replacement.

I like how simple it is to use. It's definitely user friendly I've not had any safety concerns with it and it just does what it's supposed to. It feels sturdy and the hoses oxygen regulator feel like they're made well. The only complaint I have with the whole setup is that those Worthington oxygen cylinders run out so quickly. But that's on me not these guys.

The item was packed well, arrived quickly, and actually included instructions! That was new.I asked the seller, but never got an answer, i have to assume though the tip is not interchangeable. The construction felt solid enough, it had a good weight to it.What i didn't like was the inability to take components apart to inspect, clean, or replace. Not that there's much, but the way the plastic handle is setup, you can't open it (i think) without damage.Ended up returning in, to get a better, smaller kit, and perhaps not a propane/propylene type but a normal single fuel.

I used this torch to get some catalytic converter bolts loose on my wife's car. The car is 20 years old and has 100,000 miles on it. I didn't think I could get them out so I took it for a couple estimates on an exhaust system. The cheapest one was $1,100 - more than half the value of the car. Parts, meanwhile, were $300.There were three studs/nuts holding the exhaust pipe to the converter. The worst of the studs I knew I could drill through and just use a bolt. The other two studs it wasn't possible to do that and if I messed it up would necessitate replacement of the converter. I took my time and heated the casting around the studs until they were a dull red. I don't believe I could have gotten them cherry red with this torch because the flame just isn't big enough. That was enough, however, as the studs then turned right out. I replaced all the hardware with stainless steel so the next guy won't have a problem (we're selling the car). The torch can be a little finicky to adjust but seriously - what do you want at this price point? A small oxy/acetylene rig is $350 plus tank rental.Make sure the oxygen bottle is turn all the way open. Open the MAPP gas valve on the torch and light it. Turn the gas down until the base of the flame is touching the torch tip. Slowly open the oxygen until you get a nice hot blue flame. Slowly open the MAPP gas and then oxygen valves until you get the size flame you need. The oxygen doesn't last very long so if you have much to do you may need a couple of bottles. Prices vary considerably so look around. Local is probably cheaper.

I am still trying to figure out how to ajust the flame to silver solder mild steel 3/8 inch bar and 3/8x1¹/² mild steel bar.

I bought it for melting small amounts of metal. It leaks and doesn't have a steady flame. Goes through oxygen very quickly. It was priced at a third of good small torch. But with it's problems, it can't do the job it was meant for. Complete waste of money.

Works great. I bought the adapter to fill my 1 lb bottles from the BBQ tank. Took off the oxy line and put a 1/8 not to 1/4 not make then put a quick connect to my compressor.. it only stays in the shop so it's fantastic that controls are on the handle. It's a true torch with plenty of heat.. it's definitely not a propane torch as I know it. It's the same as oxy-acetalyn torch for brazing and welding.. great price as far as I'm concerned.. can't day how long it will last but so far it's great..
