Terrible fret wire. It is too soft to even bother finishing the fret job I began. I just ripped the frets I installed back out and ordered different wire that I’m familiar with.

Sorry. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this had so many good ones when I bought it I have no choice. It was wrapped sideways so you’d have to straighten it horizontally with the tang facing sideways when it should have been wrapped with the tang inside so it curved in the right direction.It says it’s brass or jescar like but it seems really bendy. I didn’t bother straightening it cause I don’t trust it will last even as long as nickel silver.

The fret wire was bent. Not radiused. Bent! Look at the pictures. You will see that this wire is completely unusable for a straight fret slot. RETURNING IMMEDIATELY!!!

Après quelques échec avec des paquets de frettes déjà coupé, j'ai essayé un rouleau complet.. ET très content car celui-ci est arrivé et il n'y a pas de changement de couleur, ni de rouille... Bien enveloppé dans un sac plastique et dans une boîte de carton en plus de l'emballage de Amazon... 👍☺️

Although it showed up coiled in an odd way I have a fret bender that will fix any weirdness.It seems like a decent alloy but I'll only know when I actually install it.

I purchased this just to see if it would be as bad as I thought it might but was hoping for at least something that could be used, well I was not disappointed, it can't be used for anything other than extra strength garbage bag ties.The quality is what I expected, very soft so it wouldn't last very long if you could actually use it, but you can't.First off the roll is wound to a 2.5" radius. Consider that the tightest radius that you generally will find on a guitar is 7" and usually either 9.5" or 12" it would have to be straightened but that is not easy to do.The worst problem is that it is wound sideways and that makes it completely unusable. So it isn't a 2.5" radius around the neck, every fret would be bent sideways. Of all my years as a Luthier I have never seen something this bad.

This wire is unusable. Was bent and packed in a bag without any consideration for what it is used for. For anyone reading this spend a few more bucks and buy something else.

It works great. and it's nice not having to cut all those little bits of fret wire from those little pieces of individual frets, it saves a lot of wire too. it works fine for acoustic guitars but may be a little too soft for electric guitars though.
