I own a Howard Miller gas pump style grandfather clock. Lost the winding key in a move and the 8 mm key worked perfectly.

Die Kurbel mit einem Innenvierkant der Größe 5 war gedacht als Ersatz für meine alte Standuhr. Dort fehlte der Schlüssel. Die lichte Weite Größe 5 soll 5,2 mm betragen. An meiner schönen Kurbel betrug sie aber nur 5,1 mm. Mit einer vierkant Nadelfeile habe ich das fehlende Zehntel herausgearbeitet. Jetzt passt die schöne Kurbel. Ich bin zufrieden.

The key size was correct but the thickness of the shaft did not allow it to fit into the clock’s key hole to access the winding pin…

It’s a nice key so I’ll keep it ( it’s the wrong size ) it’s not marked for its size so it’s just a shot in the dark be carful when buying to knowing the size
