"Luckily" there was a "YOU-TUBE" Video about this problem !!!! The warning light came on and the message on the dash was ESP malfunction, etc !!! Now if my mind really Possessed some "Actual" "ESP" then I wouldn't have had any problem with this malfunction !!! Just Kidding !!! The very affordable Brake Light Switch remedied the problem quite handily !!! And it was not terribly difficult to replace !!! Just go to the You-Tube video for This job, and there is at least one for "Replacing the Brake Light Switch on your "Benz" !!! Mine is a 2008, E-350 4-Matic and yes the switch is under the drivers side and the "Under Dash" panel must "At Least" be lowered enough to be able to get your Hand(s) in there and with a Flashlight or Whatever to find that switch and remove it an Install the new one !!! It worked fine for ME !!! Thank You Amazon and your Suppliers for Great Products, Great Prices and Great Shipping !!!!After Thought !! I am Pretty Sure that I reviewed this Switch Previously ?!?!

Warning messages on our E350’s dash advised us that our ESP, traction control, and cruise control weren’t working. This sounds expensive, but all those problems were solved for less than $20 by replacing the brake light switch, as curious as that may seem. It’s a 20-minute job, and no special tools are required. If you’re getting the same combination of warnings, definitely try this fix before taking your car to service.

This thing was not as it was listed as. I needed the part and couldn’t wait to order yet another one that said it was good to fit. But thankfully I was able to use part of my broken switch and part of this new switch to make a functional and fitting switch.

I have a 2008 Mercedes E350 4matic Sedan. It was displaying an ESP error, which causes the cruise control not to work. Also, the car would sporadically vibrate during acceleration or braking. This little $12 switch fixed all of it! No more ESP error, cruise control works, and no more random vibrations. The best part, is that it's very simple to install. Literally remove 3 screws from under the panel in front of the driver, reach in, twist, pull, replace. Under 10 minutes if you DON'T know what you're doing!
