Needed a new pad just for the thumb test with both bass and b flat clarinet but didn’t when the time to repair both for up coming concerts and contest in marching band. Decided to opt for this, definitely worth it! Fits perfectly for both clarinets and doesn’t slip off while marching. I had a few extra and gave some to my friends too! Would get these just Incase or for extra comfort.

My son was complaining about his thumb getting sore when playing his clarinet both at home and at school. I said that I could fix that for him but he gave me a wry look and said “whatever Dad...”.I purchased these and stuck one on whilst he was away. They’re soft enough to remove the pain whilst playing but firm enough to not allow unwanted movement. It was easy to stick on and my son noticed straight away. Within 10 seconds he was grateful and now he’s also got 4 spares for the future.Highly recommended for those sore thumb clarinetists out there.

they don’t really fit on that well. i have a clarinet with an adjuster on the thumb rest so it’s able to go up and down so because of that, they won’t fit on very well. i also have to stretch it really far to fit on the thumb rest because it’s too thin and my thumb rest is too wide. it’s also very uncomfortable. i’m in marching band so i wanted this to help with my thumb pain because i’m holding my instrument up all day during rehearsal but it just feels like a piece of hard plastic. not what i wanted.

They were pretty comfortable and saved my thumb many times, they last a long time and fit my thumb rest for my clarinet well.

My daughter just started learning clarinet and was telling me how much her thumb hurt by the end of band class. We decided to try these cushions and they help quite a bit! She is happy that now it doesn't hurt to hold a pencil in the class after band. Since it was a 5pack, she shared with some of the other students and they are happy too.

Really great item, completely eliminates the sore thumb that comes with playing for a while. The only downside is it doesn't fit in most cases, so you have to take it off when you put the instrument away, which after about five or six weeks of using one, wears out the top, causing it to rip. Still totally worth $1.10 each, it's like using expensive reeds, they eventually wear out, but it makes a huge impact on your performance.

My daughter is using a clarinet for school that belonged to my uncle, so it's about 50 years old, and is not in perfect shape. She asked that I find some way to cushion the thumb rest for her, so I bought this pack. It works very well and made all of the other clarinet players jealous.

I bought these on a whim, really. I have been using a little phone thumb rest cusion which I cut in half. One-half for my Bb clarinet, one-half for my C clarinet. Because I have tender cuticles (especially in the winter), I needed more than a little piece of foam which was nice and soft, but would really go flat. So I bought these. I am so happy I did. They are are awesome. I wasn't sure if they would actually feel "soft" enough to be comfortable, but they totally do. And I am very picky. They go on really easy, I put one on each clarinet, set one aside to give to my young clarinet student, and the other two will go where all of my other excess clarinet gear goes until they are needed. Really. Try these!

I was concerned when I took these thumb rest covers out of the package, due to their small size. However, they fit nicely & snugly. Although not as soft as the Protec thumb rest cover (which I liked very much, but lost when it fell off -- thumb rest didn't have cork on it, which was at least part of the problem -- that has been fixed), it offers good support and is comfortable. If I ever lose one (doubtful at this point), I have spares.
