When we bought fancy kayak paddles, they were so much faster than the ones that came with our kayaks. Honestly, this is well made, but it didn’t help us go any faster.

Seems like a good paddle overall, I was dissapointed that it was actually slightly heavier than the other paddle I have, and I was sad that the blue design was only on one side of the paddle. the other side of the paddle is black only.

I had bought a cheaper paddle, wrongly thinking most paddles would be about the same. However, the plastic locking mechanism snapped the 3rd time I used it. This one has a sweet, easy-to-use adjustment/locking mechanism, and the paddle itself feels much sturdier without being heavy. Already gotten some good use out of it--definitely recommended.

Bought this based on the pictures saying this is a 1.7 lbs lightweight paddle.. noticed in the details it says it’s actually 2.1 pounds.. going to a store in person that also claims 2.1 pounds for their paddles ACTUALLY felt like holding air.. this paddle feel basically as heavy as the paddles that came with my inexpensive paddle board.. not worth it for the weight aspect. Quite disappointed

I had several interactions with Surf and Snow Warehouse about my paddle -- which had a slight problem. After I explained, they went ahead and sent me a new one -- without me even asking! No return was necessary. I'll be sure to recommend this company -- and this paddle -- to my SUP buddies. I ordered this as a replacement for an older BPS paddle that I lost. I loved it and the new one has the same great qualities -- especially the feel of the handle, plus it's lightweight and adjustable. I'm looking forward to taking the new one out on the water! :)

I got this paddle so I wouldn't have to share my nice carbon shaft paddle with the Sea Scouts who occasionally try out my SUP, so I just wanted something cheap and reasonably sturdy. The paddle is definitely both of those, but it's actually a very pleasant paddle to use and works well. I was initially skeptical about the way the adjustment clip works, but it has proved to be simple and reliable, and actually, the bump is in a convenient place to serve as a sort of handle for the lower hand so instead of being in the way it's sort of useful.

Bullet proof is a 5 star retailer... I had an issue/question about the handle and I emailed Blair at Bullet Proof and he was prompt, professional and got me the info I needed right away. Superior customer service and totally stands behind the product. This is a good entry / intermediate paddle if you aren't particular but I upgraded to the composite Bullet Proof which is very light and well worth the extra $20. it's like an extension / part of your arm. Which ever way you go, the Bullet Proof paddles are the best quality and value in their class. I tried a few other paddles, and you might find cheaper paddles but will compromise quality and handling.
