I think the jacket will be just fine and will be warm enough and hold up well however the description says cotton and denim for the fabric type, it said nothing about polyester, which I'm assuming is the "sherpa" lining.I wish Amazon would do better with product descriptions. this is the second time that I've had this problem.we try to avoid polyester, especially for children.

I love how soft the denim is. I live that they don't have to button it, zipping is easier for my grandson with cerebral palsy. However, the other grandson noted that all the pockets are tiny. Kids like room for their STUFF. So I handsome an inner pocket and now it's perfect for both. Note, one grandson is a rightie and one is a leftie so that's why each has opposite pockets. Wish the manufacturer would do this pocket idea on both sides.

I bought this for my grandson I was afraid it wouldn't be to my expectation but it turned out to be the opposite. I was pleasantly surprised. It's well made, thick and looks better than the picture. 5 stars from me.
