This winter is colder than usual here and my violin has had to deal with temperature and humidity variations. I bought this after arriving at my orchestra rehearsal to find my bow under tension and my e string peg slipped. No mishap since purchasing. It did force me to keep my violin in its case rather than on the stand in order to enjoy the benefits — but having my violin stay in tune session to session is pretty amazing. All my violin and guitar cases now have one!

Works slowly to set the humidity at the desired level, but works great over time.I found if they are not quite fully dehydrated, they can be recharged by sitting them in a bag of pure water overnight. This works for the smaller size and the mid humidity, levels. I find it does not work so well for the larger size or the highter humidity levels.

I put two size 70 pads in my ukulele hard case and I managed to get the humidity up to 35% in addition to having a whole house humidifier. This is nowhere near the 49%. I suppose I could add another pad in the case but at the price point, I decided to add a humilele sponge humidifier to the sound hole and that got me to 41% which is acceptable. I think these can be effective but I would double the recommended amounts.

They last longer than it states on the package. Easy to use, and helps balance humidity while the instrument is in it's case. I wish I could find refills instead of having to buy holder as well.

I use these packets for my ukeleles and other small wooden instruments. They control the humidity so the wood doesn't buckle or crack. I doesn't add humidity (like a humidifier), rather it moderates the level of the humidity available to keep it stable in most climates. I use the ones made for a steady 49% humidity and I'm very pleased so far.

Never increased the internal humidity in my guitar case at all. Returned.

I purchased this for my Leho Solid Mahogany Ukulele. It's my first solid uke and I wanted to make sure all is well. I've used Boveda products for a few years now, mostly for my classical guitars, and have never had an issue. They work as advertised and have served me well.I do wish that they were cheaper, but given the frequency of replacement, it's not really an issue. 5/5 for the product itself, however a 4/5 for the price!

I was using the "wet sponge" holders for my ukuleles and when I saw these I thought, "Oh good, no more wetting sponges." I bought the pack designed for small instruments/ukuleles, followed the instructions and after a few days the hygrometer in my cases indicated things were drying out instead of holding steady after the sponge was taken out. So I'm back to wetting sponges but I also have protected my instruments. It might be I live in a very dry climate (Colorado) and it's very hard to get ahead with the humidity. Either way I need something dependable.
