Cone – Poly Injection

Polyurethane, categorized as a polymer, is a resilient, flexible, and durable manufactured material that can take the place of paint, cotton, rubber, metal, or wood in thousands of applications across virtually all fields. It can be hard like fiberglass, squishy like upholstery foam, protective like varnish, bouncy like rubber, or sticky like glue. In the specific case of our cones, this material allows for maximum flexibility that produces great sounding speakers lasting you a long, long time.

Tweeter – Mylar Dome

Mylar is the brand name for a special type of stretched polyester film/plastic sheet manufactured in a range of different styles, finishes, and thicknesses. Generally, the dome tweeter is a step up from the semi-dome tweeter, primarily because of improved sound dispersion. The dome shape radiates sound with a wider dispersion pattern than the semi-dome design. Since high-frequency sound waves are very directional, a wider dispersion of the sound waves will give you a larger "sweet spot" to work with when setting up your system.

Surround – Butyl Rubber

Butyl Rubber is a synthetic (man made) substance and is valued for its chemical inertness, impermeability to air, and the ability to endure or resist exposure to many types of weather fronts. Butyl rubber has applications from sports equipment to automotive parts, the medical industry, and more. We use them for the surrounds that connect the cone to the basket. Did you know that most modern chewing gum uses food-grade butyl rubber as the central gum base, which contributes not only the gum's elasticity but an obstinate, sticky quality? Just like that chewing gum, the Butyl Rubber Surround in our speakers can take the equivalent amount of abuse without quitting on you.

Rear Of MR752C
Voice Coil – Aluminum

Our speakers are capable of higher or elevated temperature strength and fatigue properties that will increase performance and efficiency of heavy duty play time through lower weight and higher operating temperatures.

I didnt expect this speaker to sound as good as it does. As I have subwoofers in my boat already, I planned on using these for just mids and highs, but was surprised at the bass these speakers produce. Nice crisp sound and very powerful. Construction is also top notch as they are much heavier than I expected them to be and details such as providing stainless steel hardware for mounting is an important factor in a marine environment.

We put the speakers in our older model pontoon boat and the sound system is now above par! The music is clear and the volume is great! Would highly recommend.

These were purchased for saddlebag speakers on a motorcycle. Do they have good clarity? Not really. Do they have perfect pitch? Nah. Do they produce perfect bass? Meh. Are they loud as heyall when you're going 70MPH down I-75 on your way to Florida to see if Florida Man really does exist? Yep, and that's all I needed them for.

Installed these in my 25' open cockpit boat this past summer. They WILL provide decent sound quality for an open boat. What they WILL NOT do and CANNOT do is replace larger cone/heavy sub-woofers, etc. Here's my point. Some people expect a 6X9 speaker to fill a boat cockpit like it can fill the inside of a car, and if you walk in expecting that, you're going to be sorely disappointed with any 6X9 speaker. Sound bounces around and fills areas of a car cabin while it "falls apart" much more readily in the open space of a boat cockpit. Why the speach? Because I've seen some reviews that sorta "panned" these speakers when the problem was more likely unrealistic expectations on the part of the reviewer.Long story short:If you are looking to make your boat ROCK with a LOUD sound system that just HAMMERS out the music and THUMPS out the bass without a bit of issues whether at the dock or going across the lake then go get a THOUSAND (or more) dollars and build a SOUND SYSTEM that can do that.If you want a set of speakers that can provide some decent music to your dock-side or fishing experience without breaking the bank, and understand that you can only push so much air with a 6x9 cone, then these speakers are just what you need!
