This cast iron fondue set is very sturdy and perfect for cozy family gatherings or small parties. It heats evenly and we've not experienced any burning of the cheese on the bottom. Keep in mind that the burner requires alcohol gel, which isn’t included, so you’ll need to purchase that separately. Or you can get pre-made burners. I recommend keeping the set dry when not in use, as the cast iron can rust if exposed to moisture. Overall, a solid addition to any kitchen for fondue lovers and we love it for our DnD game days.

We LOVE fondue parties and this set is really heavy duty. The cast iron pot is just gorgeous. It doesn't come with the stereo you need to light it. I wish it did. But purchase that separately. It does come with a recipe which is a pretty basic and easy to find additional one, or ones just like it online. If you're a fan of fondue, this is the high end pot you're looking for!

I love fondue but going to The Melting Pot is pretty expensive. Thought about getting our own at-home fondue set before but never pulled the trigger until now. Went for this cast iron one because it looked like it would last a super long time and I think it definitely will after taking it out of the box and trying it out! It's heavy as I anticipated so it won't be easily moved on the table or accidentally knocked over which is a huge plus with animals and kids. I absolutely LOVE that you can use this fondue pot on so many different heat avenues (gas/induction/electric/ceramic/oven). It's easy to use and easy to clean. I got the 853554 model but I'm not sure what the difference is between that one and the other one 853549 besides the handles of the fondue forks. Overall happy with this fondue set and would buy again. Hope it holds up for a long long time!

I love the rustic look of this set and while I haven't had a chance to make any fondue yet, I have inspected everything. The build quality is great and I'm confident it will work really well for making fondue (one of my favorite snacks/appetizers). I'll update my review once I have a chance to use it, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as of now.

When I saw this I immediately started thinking about all the fondues I could have at home. I got it and immediately had some great fondue that night. The construction is solid and feels great. I needed clarification on the instructions for what fuels to use. However, you can use the instant heat cans instead of the burner that comes with it. So I would like to see the instructions updated to contain examples of the correct fuels. It mentions liquid ethanol or gel fuel but going to the store and asking for that got me confused looks from the employees. So overall 4 stars due to my lack of knowledge but still would recommend it.
