The Bosch GTC400C 12V Max Connected Thermal Camera is easy to use, determining temperatures in seconds and documenting the results with convenience. Featuring a large illuminated color display, it delivers a 160x120 thermal graphic image accurate to +/-3 degrees celcius, setting the standard for detailed thermal resolution. It features simple operation; just squeeze the trigger to shoot image, and use the click wheel for the functions. The thermal graphic image features more than 19,000 measurement points for precision, showing hot and cold spots, the temperature at the center and an adjustable temperature scale. The integrated visual camera records actual images, so the user can document the work area visually as well as thermally. This allows side-by-side comparison, picture-in-picture and overlay of picture and thermal graphic. It can store up to 500 images. It’s powered by the Bosch 12V Max battery platform for professional runtime. The user can then transfer the thermal documentation to a device with Bluetooth® or WiFi hotspot with GTC software. The camera discloses problems in real time, without stopping production, and it is ideal for insulation, heater and radiator, windows and more.

I've been using this camera to find air leaks and poorly insulted areas around the house to help me more efficiently seal the house. I also used this to determine locations where hvac flex ducts behind the wall/ceiling are crimped and reducing airflow. The screen size and resolution is good and the camera is nicely balanced.I deducted a star for its UI and wireless connectivity to my iphone. The UI is a bit clunky and the connection to my iphone is sometimes spotty. It's great that I can connect my iphone to the camera and download the images but it seems the phone and the camera needs to be very close to each other. Also, it would be nice if the camera remembered the device/phone that it was paired to and connect the next time you use the camera.

I was able to start this thermal camera up and immediately started using it without reading any instructions. Installation and set-up of the Bosch ThermalOn app went without issue on my iPhone 14 Pro. I was able to connect to the camera via Wi-Fi and download the pictures (Camera is seen as a Wi-Fi network on the phone). Build quality seems fairly rugged similar to other Bosch tools I own and nice that is uses the same type of 12V battery as well.

This rugged thermal camera is VERY useful for detecting temperatures at a distance and have used it to locate leaks, check freezer temps, computer CPU temps and works even better than advertised! All the features and modes work perfectly and it's very easy to use and I didn't even need to read the included user manual.It also was packaged very well and came in it's own high quality carrying/storage case, detailed user manual in proper English (not poorly translated Engrish) and came pre-charged so could be used immediately. Highly recommended!

I have owned this camera for 8 months now and decided to post some pictures on media pages only to discover that (for apple), it is completely un-supported. Wish I had bought a Flir. Maybe there will be an app in the future but for now.....so pissed.

The camera itself is OK, not outstanding but perfectly adequate. Menu system works fine. I like that it has several pre-programmed emissivity values. Optical camera works fine as long as you’re a few yards from whatever you’re measuring.I bought this because I wanted a dedicated device, but I would say the main competition for many users is going to be a plug-in device like the Seek Thermal. I used a Seek Thermal for a while and I would say the image quality is comparable, and it’s what, a third of the price? For the cost, this thing needs to be excellent.The camera is advertised as having an app that lets users transfer photos from the camera to their phone... but the app just doesn’t exist. Bosch support is very friendly but seems powerless to help. A bit bizarre that they just released this without a key component of an advertised feature... and the Seek Thermal et al. sure don’t have this problem.
