This plug will fit the 2009 VW TDI eventhough it looks smaller. The problem is, it doesn't have a pressure sensor in it so the car's ECU will still throw a code. Don't buy it unless you like check engine lights.

I have a mk5 Jetta Tdi, and needed to replace the glow plugs but didn't want to go to the dealership. I decided to try this aftermarket glow plug. I know nothing about cars but with the help of the Internet this was simple to do. The most helpful piece of information is that these Bosch glow plugs look different than the OEM ones you'll be replacing, but will fit fine. If I'd known this I wouldn't have had to run all over town.
