Your cart is empty.The Bosch GKF125CE Colt variable-speed palm-grip router with 1.25 horsepower (max) lets you feel the power in your hand. The GKF125CE has an ergonomic palm-grip design with soft-grip to make it very comfortable to hold, making it typically more convenient to use than larger routers. But it also has ample power, with a 1.25 HP (max) rating. It's far more than a laminate trimmer, as it is the ideal tool for rounding-over deck planks and railings, hinge mortising, decorative edge forming, slot cutting, window cutouts, decorative inlays, laminate trimming and more. The motor features soft-start circuitry, a variable-speed dial and Constant Response circuitry to maintain speed under load. Its PR101 fixed base features macro- and micro-fine depth adjustment and a centerable round subbase for easy guidance. The GKF125CEK Colt Palm Router Kit includes straight-edge guide is included that can guide the bit up to 3-5/8 In. in from the edge of workpiece, plus a carrying case.

This is my 5th or 6th router and should have been my 1st. It worked great in routing deep pocket into bottom edge of a door with very tight tolerances. Easy to control and handle.

Unpacked and all seems great. Tried the router on some scrap lumber pieces, and all is as it should be. Adjustments - easy to do. Build quality - sturdy and will serve me for years. Size - a bit larger than I thought it would be, but perfect for my projects. Power - working as described with the soft starting feature. Case - fits perfectly. This is a corded router and is exactly as described.

Great router. A bit to the heavier side but bouncy offer smaller model if you are in the market to purchase a router. Good power, and I especially like the variable speed.

The tiny user guide is hard to decipher. The Router guide is confusing to get set up correctly. The base plate requires a T15 Torx bit which was not stated in the specs. Also the fine adjustment wheel works the opposite from the written description. The Clockwise and Counter-Clockwise functions are reversed fromwhat is stated. So far I have only used a 1/4 inc bit on soft pine.

I'm, personally, scared to death of hand held routers. Partly because of the potential injuries, but mostly the fear of screwing something up on my workpiece. This is what i call the "Goldilocks" router. Bigger than the Bosch palm sander, smaller than the Bosch plunge router. It's just right for someone like me with more power and easier to maintain accuracy for the end user. It feels good in my hand. I still screw up, but I'm getting better through practice (who'd have thought...lol).It's easy to change bits and get accurate depth of cuts.It's corded, but I like that I don't have to keep changing batteries. Probably gets better power that way.Case is nice. Place to keep everything that came with it nice and secure, keeps dust off the tool.I think, after using it a little bit, the only thing I don't particularly care for is the guide rail. It's rather flimsy and difficult to keep it tightened due to the vibrations of the actual router. Bosch could definitely improve this, I'm sure.Bottom line, I've been slowly upgrading my hand held power tools one by one with Bosch because (1) they are high quality, well-made products, (2) the 18v brushless profactor platform is fantastic, and (3) the corded tools are also the best corded hand tools I've ever used. This corded router is the best one I've personally used.If you buy it, you'll be glad you did. Quit wasting time and money on Festool and come to the blue side.As a side note, I bought a Festool sander because it's supposed to be the "best of the best." I used it twice, put it back in the systainer and went back to my $60 Bosch because it just has more power.Recommend? Definitely! And check out their other tools you might need/want. You can not go wrong. I don't think I've ever seen a head-to-head between Bosch and Festool for any tool except their miter saw and I wonder why. The 10" Profactor miter saw and track saw are currently on my wish list. Saving up for them because I know their worth saving for.
