I bought this for a friend to treat a roach/ant problem in her home. I mixed it with peanut butter and placed it in little containers throughout her house (under the stove, behind her refrigerator, in her cabinets, under her bed etc). The roaches were gone in about a week or so and stayed gone.If it were my home, I would recommend doing this treatment at least once a month to keep bugs completely out for good.Once a month may not be necessary, but I hate bugs so this is only my personal opinion.

I have been using boric acid for years for insects and I like the results and much lower cheaper than calling an exterminator.

Had a termite problem. Found some directions online about the best way to mix this up. Sprayed in several areas with termites. Never found any dead ones, but I have not found anymore live ones or damage. However did find several dead roaches, which was a plus. Also seems to be effective on ants. As of now I would say this is a good non-toxic(it’s basically soap) bug killer. Only draw back is it may clog up your sprayer if you don’t mix it up right.

More seriously, this is the most effective way I know to deal with Palmetto bugs. (after 40 years in Florida.)I can't stand the thought of spreading neurotoxins all around the house to deal with an annoyance. Boric Acid crystals are a better answer. This stuff mixes 3 to 1 with confectioners sugar. I went to the Dollar store, bought a plastic ketchup bottle, funneled the boric acid and confectioners sugar, shaked it up, cut the tip to a wider point and started squeezing. Behind and under the refrigerator, under every cabinet in the kitchen and bath. I found that it was effective to put a small pile (inch or two) and sweep it into the crevices. This product is a good price. It does what it is supposed to.Rule one: keep your house clean! No crumbs, specs of food, greasy water in the sink or hoarded old bags.Rule two: use this stuff. It irritakes the Palmettos exoskeleton and they head outside to bug heaven. We do not have "roaches" in the city sense, but this stuff is where you begin to turn the battle if you do.I stopped having a bug extermination company do my house every month when the serviceman refused to drink the chem juice he was spraying.Boric acid crystals have low toxicity, but keep it off your skin and away from your eyes.

Here in Texas we like to say everything is BIGGER !!! That is certainly true when it comes to the HUGE roaches we have in South Texas’s semi-tropical climate. I figure if pesticides (or herbicides) kills living things, they can’t be too good for me or my furry family. In the past I have tried using Borax with half-hearted results. Florida Laboratories has provided me with the SILVER BULLET !!! I whipped up a batch of equal parts of boric acid, sugar and corn meal, mixed with enough boiling water to make a paste. I made my own “Texas size” roach traps out of corrugated cardboard, leaving two ends open. These were placed in the kitchen, bathrooms and garage. I sent out invitations for the big roach party !!! All it took was one night for a huge body count !!! It was nothing short of AMAZING !!! Florida Laboratories’customer service followed up my order with emails to make sure I received my boric acid in good condition and was happy with their product. I highly recommend this product !!!UPDATE: March, 2019. It's been two years and I just saw my first roach. Time to mix up a batch of my magic boric acid treats for another roach party !!!
