Colors are not as they are indicated. Essentially these are magic markers rather than wood scratch coverup and so do not blend in at all. They mark but are very poor quality and are not really useful.

Our laminate floor had quite a few scratches, but this Furniture Markers Touch Up made a noticeable difference. It’s very easy to use—you can start with a lighter color and gradually add darker shades until you achieve the perfect match. One important tip: keep a paper towel handy to wipe off the marker touch-up immediately, which helps the marker blend seamlessly. The results are impressive—the scratches have disappeared, and you can't tell where the touch-up was applied. I highly recommend it.

I would have given it less than one star but there was no option lower. I have always used Minwax Wood Finish Marker but liked the idea of getting three different stains in one package - seemed like a good deal. Don't waste your money. Product is just awful. More like a paint that doesn't penetrate into a scratch but leaves a blotch you can't wipe away - even if you do so immediately. I threw them away as I didn't want to waste my time going to a drop-off site for a refund.

I selected these markers to touch up small nicks and scratches on my cabinets. My cabinets are a dark brown and the dark marker matches pretty well. I have some scrape marks at the top of the cabinet door. The touchup pen works well for small area. It doesn't look like wood but it makes the scrape less noticeable.

Overall, the color of these markets does help hide scratches in wood. However, calling these water-resistant is a bit of a stretch. At least on my apartment cabinets, where water tracks have eaten away at the finish on the wood under the sink, a single swipe of my finger over the area I hav applied the pen, a few days later, is enough to take most of the color off and leave the scratches just as bare as they were before. As a result these are excellent if you are willing to put some kind of sealant over them, I would venture to say they are even forgiving because if you choose the wrong color or misplace color, a single swipe can undo your mistake. But on their own, these don't have much staying power.
