We love this game. It was easy to learn and quick to play. Everyone we have shown it to has loved it as well. It’s a well thought out game and is a ton of fun. Highly recommended!

Incredibly simple for families to play! A great alternative to Yahtzee for younger kids who will enjoy the tangible tokens to manipulate and the idea of attacking other players. My kindergarten students really enjoy it, and I don't mind playing it with them, as it actually has strategy compared to other kids games. For the price point, it's an easy buy for a truly replayable game.

My family played this game on new years. We had ages 8-44 and everyone loved it. It can cause some drama as one player can single out an opponent. My wife caused this pirate to walk the plank early and often. Highly recommend!

My family loves family game nights. As a result, we have played a whole lot of games. And since we have six kids from 17 down to 7 we have played a wide range of games. Every once in a while we find a real treasure of a game that appeals to every one of them. Booty Dice is one of those treasures (no pun intended... okay, maybe it was). The aim of the game is to be the first "pirate" to gain 25 doubloons or be the last pirate standing. This comes about through a dice rolling mechanic. Each turn you get three chances to roll your 6 dice. Much like Yahtzee, with each chance you can reroll as many or as few dice as you choose. Each roll gives you an opportunity to gain doubloons either from the treasure chest or other pirates, attack an opponent, gain a shield to protect yourself from an opponent's attack, or lose a life or some of your doubloons. Certain combinations of dice also allow you to inflict trouble on all of your opponent's at once.Game play is very simple to learn. Even my 7 year old, after a few games, was able to make his own decisions about his dice rolls and how he wanted to manage them. Not only did he manage his dice rolls, he ended up decimating his older siblings- even the 17 year old (okay, I admit it, he beat me as well). That is one of the things I like about this game. It is a great blend of luck and decision making for a family game. It is about a 65/35 blend of luck/strategy. That makes it perfect for younger kids to be able to hold their own against older kids without it ONLY being about the luckiest roll of the dice which would quickly lose the interest of the older kids. All in all, when my whole family wants to play a game over and over I know it is a good one. Easy to learn, high re-playability, a great blend of luck vs. strategy, and a fun theme (my youngest kept talking like pirates and calling everyone scurvy scalawags) make Booty Dice a game my kids will grab for family game night over and over again.

I like push your luck games so I enjoyed playing Booty Dice. You are trying to stay alive while getting the most gold. You get three chances to roll the six dice keeping the dice you want to and trying again with the rest. While the dice make luck a big part of the game, there’s strategy about which dice you keep and go after as well as which player you attack or steal gold from. Each die is the same and has six different sides. Two sides are negative for the player rolling unless they get three or more of that same side on the six dice, then it is negative for everyone else. The other sides, let you take gold from other players, take gold from the center pot, attack another player or gain shields. You start with 10 lives. Shields can protect those lives from direct attack dice rolls. Also, if you get one die result of each of the six sides, it’s the most negative for everyone else.At first glance, I thought it was going to be confusing with all the options, but the player guides for each person made that simple to follow. My 10&12 year olds and I played 3 games our first go at it and we each won one game.Unless you’re using it as a learning experience, it might not be great for kids or older people who react poorly to “take that” from other players removing their gold and lives.Game is quick enough to be able to play a few times if you want. As a push your luck game should be.

This is a fantastic game! I picked it up on a whim for black friday and do not regret it. It's easy to learn how to play and super fun for 2 or more people to play! Overall it's a lightly competitive game that's quick, and has a nice pirate theme that makes it an incredibly great buy!

This is a colorful and well designed dice game that anyone can learn quickly. I really like the custom dice included with this game.If you’re familiar with “Bang the dice game,” this feels similar to it in the quality, use of tokens, and art style. It’s easy to learn and quick to teach, which is always a big plus for a new party game.Oh, and it’s pirate themed so it gets bonus points for that! 🏴☠️
