This was a game changer when installing a new LG mini Split. My line set was of poor quality and kinked. I needed to cut and flare a piece of the tubing. This tool got it done perfectly the first time. i love the ratchet release when a flare is complete. It makes the fares perfect and consistent between tubing.Highly recommended

As a gasfitter I have been using Rigid tools for the past 30 years. i finally got sick of my Rigid ratcheting flare tool constantly slipping and decided to replace it with tool. I figured even if I don’t like the flare tool I still get a spare tube cutter and pencil reamer out of the deal. This is hands down the best flare tool I have ever used, the tube stop on the clamp positions the tube for a perfect flare, there is no guessing if the cone is lined up correctly on the tube, I can use my thumb and forefinger to turn the handle effortlessly to make a flare and back the tool off. I made 20 3/8” flares, 6 1/2” flares and 2 5/8” flares with this tool today and all turned out perfect and leak free. To top it off the green colour of the clamp will make this a hard tool to misplace. Super pleased with this tool.

This flaring tool has a nice sturdy weight and all parts move easily. There is a sliding depth gauge so no need to guess as to the 1/16 inch to 1/8 inch end protrusion sticking out as recommended for flaring. There are stops to prevent the eccentric cone section from accidentally sliding off the rails and hitting the floor which would mar the cone. Nice safety measure.I inspected the cone with my helmet lens at 5.25 magnification and there were two micro dings over half way up on the cone. They aren’t visible to the naked eye. I really don’t think they were anywhere near the flaring area and they were very small. There were no imperfections seen after inspecting my practice flares.The piece of left over copper pipe left in the tool noted by one reviewer seems to be a feature and not an indication of a used tool. Mine also had one as well so I guess they use it as a demo or quality control to make sure the tool is performing well.The tool does not come with a case but you can also easily unscrew the position holder handle to get it to fit back into the box for safe storage.I seriously don’t think the Hilmor costing over twice the price can be twice the tool. This is a good product.

Back in the 1970's I had to flare breaklines. I always struggled with the flare. This tool i purchased after researching different flaring tool under $70 to make a perfect flare. I had to make numerous flare on 1/2 cooper for LP gas supply. Each flare came out perfect and this flaring tool is so easy to use. Extremely with this tool. Recommend it highly.

I decided to shorten the lines on my mini split installation, this tool was easy to use and it made a superb quality flare. It ie eccentric so it makes a better flare than a straight cone tool and it has a clutch mechanism so you cant overtighten . Good quality, would recommend.

This flaring tool did a perfect job on the line sets for the mini split heat pumps that I installed, and the instruction on how to use it were pretty easy to follow

This flaring tool works great for making perfect flares on copper tubing. It it sturdy and well built. The price is reasonable, and the eccentric forcing cone makes very nice, perfect flares on copper tubing. I have not used it on aluminum yet. I have used it on 1/4 and 3/8 . The flares were the perfect size and the clutch mechanism ensures you do not over crush the flare. The copper. insertion depth limiter ensures consistent insertion and the correct flare size without splitting the tube or making the flare too small. My previous flaring tool also would come completely apart. The clamp piece was separate from the top piece with the forcing cone. This one stays together as one assembly, but is easy to use. The indents and alignment marks make for proper alignment for flaring the tube. I highly recommend it.

I got the product quickly and as promised by Amazon.This product is great. I am a refrigeration tech. Works like a charm . it's light too. clutch works good. the lock works good and stops at the precise point of each size. You can be happy with this. There was a 1/4 flare inside the block when I opened the box but I am not concerned as it could have been for product testing. Unit was mint condition.Buy this product. I like it very much. its worth it.

I have used this flaring tool several times since i bought it. First off i love the color of the product, and ho it comes with a nice hard case.The tool seems to work just as good if not better than a yellow jacket/ CPS flaring tool.. and it comes with a std/metric bar set unlike the big name brands.The tubing cutters that come with this kit are awesome as well. They are speed cutters that cut from 1/4” all the way to at least 1 1/8” acr copper.I am looking into buying their hydro. Gear/pulley puller as well! Will do a review on this once i have it!It seems the more you use this product, the better it works so far.9-11-22A little update on this awesome product!! Bonvoison i am very proud!The flaring tool still works like a beast, and the cutters are literally the best manual tubing cutters i have ever owned. If i EVER need a new set of tubing cutters, i will be finding and buying this kit!It really sucks you cannot find the super stars cutters by themselves because i have had 6-7 techs/plumbers ask me where to get them from and i out them on everytime but you have to buy the kit to get them!Amazing product 👌🏻✅ still!
