My current Xbox fan is not happy so I ordered a $20 replacement. Installed it and it never got power to the fan, reinstalled original fan and it still works even though it sounds terrible so the new fan is DOA. It happens, no big deal.So I return it and order this more expensive direct replacement. It took a bit to get it because of the New Years holiday but it finally came in today. I opened the package and I'm greeted with this... whatever this is. I circled in red in two of the PICs something that was caked on that quite frankly looked like dried on snot. The whole thing just looked gross. Also notice that there is no sticker on the bottom of the fan unlike the one in the listing here.But I cleaned it up and installed it anyway... and guess what... IT'S DOA TOO. I'm guessing, or hoping I should say, with this fan someone replaced their fan and then returned their dead fan in place of the new one. Reinstalled the original fan again and it still gets power so my Xbox is working as intended, it's just got a loud fan and this replacement is indeed DOA.Not sure where to go from here.

I was worried about opening up my Xbox Series X but I was positive the fan was the problem (was making sounds before the Xbox "overheated" and would not work anymore). I watched a quick Youtube video about replacing the fan and it seemed pretty easy. It was. The package arrived and I was playing on my Xbox within a half hour. Not one issue and the fan is just as quiet as the original.

Just like the headline says, this fan is a perfect replacement for a defective fan in a Xbox Series X. Installation was extremely easy and the fan makes absolutely NO noise. Very pleased so far.

I was expecting to get a new fan for my Xbox series X. This one was obviously used as they did not do a very good job of cleaning all the dark brown, thick, disgusting dust off of it. Also, the name brand was not marked anywhere on the package or the product, so I'm not even sure if that is accurate from the description. That being said, after cleaning and installing, the fan does work and is very quiet. Had I known I was getting a used product I probably would have saved myself about $15 and just ordered one that was advertised as used. Lesson learned.

Worked and lined up as a perfect fit when my original xbox fan went out.Does not come with housing for the fan unit, but does come with the necessary tools for an easy swap. The entire process was finished inunder 10 minutes

It fits and works perfect so far. The tools are hard to break loose the screws, but i had my own tools. This is not the oem part but basically the same exact thing. U have to take the fan case off the old fan and put on this fan, you want to keep the one thats in there because it has masterchief etched on it. (Thats why they dont send you a fan already in a case). However this fan is just as quiet as the original so far. I have had it for about a week and its been great.

The fan was a perfect fit and quite when running. The small tool worked well to get the Xbox cover off, but the middle screw of the fan was very tight and the tool was too small to loosen it. I ended up trying my own tools and the screw was so tight it ended up stripping. I couldn't even get a good enough grip with pliers to loosen after it was stripped. I ended up prying the screw off. All of the other screws came out fine except for that middle one. I'm glad the fan doesn't rattle since I reconnected it without that big middle screw. Happy I saved $300 from not going to Microsoft support.

The fan is functioning fine and went in the console no problem.. the t8 and t10 screwdrivers they send with it are way off, save some money and get a fan that doesn’t come with faulty tools
