Great product and so far so good but the cork is difficult to see, a brighter cork would be better

Was skeptical at first of the versatility of this cork, but I was soon pleasantly surprised at how easily I could change depth without cutting and retrying my line. I was able to fish different depths at the same location that I would have previously ignored, and I can honestly say my catch ratio improved. It’s a well made cork all around, but the beauty of this pice of equipment it’s it quick depth change capability.

So I really like the concept of being able to adjust the depth as necessary, but in practice I find that I used that feature very little. What was disappointing with these corks is the durability. All three of them literally fell apart on a cast, each one doing it after maybe one or two trips on the water with them. Either the wire or the wire crimps fail.In contrast to my usual go to corks, Four Horsemen, I have had some of the same corks in use for years with not a single failure.Fix the quality and maybe there is something here, but I will stick to the proven ones I use for now.

They seem to be well built. I fish Galveston bay and I like that I can vary the dept without having to cut the line. I don't like the old slip corks because they "slip" and they are badly made. At $10 a cork it hurts when a big one breaks me off.

The Versa Max Bolt pro has a loud knocker bead that helps simulate the sound a shrimp makes underwater when it jumps. It is the only cork that lets you tie on a really long leader and spool it on the hook . this allows you to shorten or lengthen the leader as needed. I couple it with a H&H TKO shrimp. Speckled trout, redfish, even flounder have been caught on this rig. I tried another brand of popping cork and it worked alright but, when the bite is stubborn, the Bolt Pro gives that extra sound the fish like.

I've used these on a couple fishing trips so far, and the corks have performed well. Exactly what I was hoping for - I can easily and quickly adjust the depth of my leader. I've used these metal rod type popping corks for years, and the main drawback has always been quick depth adjustment. The other style of cork that let's you slide it up and down your line to adjust the depth are not popping corks (i.e. no metal rod with beads to click and pop to attract fish). So this is the best of both worlds - I can adjust the depth from 12 inches to 6 feet in 30 seconds! When I first opened the box one of the individual corks had been opened and pre-wrapped with a leader and line attached. At first I thought I got a used cork, but then realized the seller did this to demonstrate how to rig it. THANK YOU.
