It seems to be a decent tool but with it's bolt design it my not fit where you need to use it. The material used seems to be strong enough and should last though. Unsure if this or pliers type crimper is the better option. Both probably has their good points in use though.

Works great for intended purpose. I'd recommend grease for the threads of it. But other than that is a 10/10 for me.

This boot clamp tool is the spitting image, so to speak, of the OEM Toyota/Lexus boot clamp tool. Works and fits just like the OEM tool. The convenience factor of not trying to track down who in the shop has the tool, if it was misplaced, or simply doing a boot replacement on your own vehicle is greatly enhanced by its low cost.As it is a low cost tool, mine had some poor machining/finishing marks on it. It doesn't affect function, but it did lose a star for that.

I feel like I would be 10 years younger if I had this tool in the past. Trying to remove these clamps is super annoying otherwise and I often would just cut them off the boot. This little guy makes it very easy! Small size means I just toss it into my drawer and forget it until it's needed!

I used this yesterday to put some clamps on an inner tie rod boot. It was very difficult, in this particular application, to get the clamp in a spot that the housing wasn’t hitting something or the bolt wasn’t. Hind sight, what I really needed was something with a bolt or something coming out 90° from the clamp instead of in line with it. It did work, spent more time than I would have liked because the tool kept slipping off the clamps which had more to do with the clamps than the look itself. Handy tool, but think about your application before you dive in!

works perfect for Toyota CV boot clamps so ,much better than the pliers.. this is the one you want
